Time for a lofty, ethical debate?
I have a great Prada bag posted on eBay. A person who is bidding is
in South Korea and has bought some thirty high-end handbags in the past month.
Thirty.
Plus.
Chanel, Prada. And a few mid range, MJ. Et al.
Who buys thirty plus bags in a month?
Is this person potentially buying bags to knock off, do you think maybe?
That is not a criticism or indictment of any of our fellow handbag junkies
elsewhere on the planet in any way, shape, or form.
[Gosh! If I could buy (afford) thirty bags in a month, I'd... Well, actually, no, I would not!]
Think this is a reasonable presupposition?
Should I NOT sell to them?
How does one know?
Thoughts?
Meaning: If I sell a detail-laden/rich Prada to them, do you think
I am potentially fueling the knock-off makers date troves?
Ah, the joys of living a life of attempted ethical responsibility...
Thank you for your thoughts re this...
Cheers, marginally (but, at least, we ret to daylight savings mañana!!!),

I'm not the oracles but I'm from Asia.
If you care for my two cents worth, here is something to think about.
Prices of Luxury goods in Asia is alot higher than other parts of the world. China, Japan, Korea are amongst the highest. As such, there are many 2nd hand consignment shops in this part of the world. Prices here are so high that a pre-loved bag from a consignment shop could cost more than one brand new in the States and yet business is very good.
This woman, I could be wrong, might be a consignment owner? She can buy these bags, mark them up and sell them for a profit.
Also, I've read that those knock-offs Conglomerates, they fly direct to Europe to get the bags.

Most importantly, make sure she's got plenty of positive feedbacks from sellers.
Just my two cents.

This thread is for authentications only. If you want a discussion of this type, it should be moved to another area on the forum, probably the eBay Sub-Forum.

Thanks. She sent me some more pictures. The only concern I have is that the sides of the bag are different than the saffiano and tessuto totes I've seen. I'm not sure why this bag is different. Typically the side were pinched closed (probably not a great description, but the sides here flap out. Also the hardware that hooks the detachable strap are different than the standard saffiano tote. So confused! Not sure if I should buy this bag or not now.

Honestly, I can't tell a thing with those dark photos. Sorry.

Can anyone please advice me on my new baby? I got her from www.lovehandbags.co.uk (a reputable seller according to some here on tpf) and am thus pretty sure she's authentic, but I'd just like to know for sure. Here are some pics. Thanks in advance!

Anyone? I need to decide if I keep this or return it...Any help appreciated! TIA

Can you get some better pics? These bags are faked SO MUCH I want to be certain, but this one might be real. I'm not sure until I see some better pics though.

Comments: thank you so much!:smile1:

Good grief. Another batch of hideous photos. Get the seller to put up some decent pics. It has potential from what I could see, but I won't commit without more detailed, clear photos.

Hello,
I'm completely new to Prada and don't know much about the styles, but I've been looking for a specific model of the Gauffre tote for a long time. One came up on e-bay but the seller doesn't have much feedback. Could I have your expert opinion please on authenticity? Thank you.
