Quick update: Paypal failed to protect my purchase. I thought it was illegal to send counterfiet items via Royal Mail, but Paypal said it's ok if you are returning the item. Seems so wrong knowing the seller will just rip someone else off.
This is how the ebayer responded:
"I suggest you take it to mulberry if you are uncertain as authentic for u or what ever it's called is hardly mulberry who make them. Like I said I asked the mulberry concession in the cheadle John Lewis and they said it was genuine.!!! I would not jeopardise my ebay for this. I'm honest"
Paypal will not reopen the closed case, so it's the small claims court for me.
The advice I've been given is:
Never pay for anything with your Paypal balance or their bank debit facility.
Always pay with a credit card, as you're better protected.

It's always best to open a case in eBay before trying the PayPal route
I've purchased (unwittingly) 2 fakes and both times eBay forced the seller to accept a return

We don't authenticate from photos alone - need a working link, please. If you can't provide one, please use an authentication service such as A4U or Fakespotters.

If this is the one, inclined to think ok. Would like to see clear close up taken straight on photo of the Mulberry label/disc lying flat, and a profile view of the turnlock showing the hole (the protruding part) When adding the requested photos, you need to post the full listing info again together with the link, all as per the info in #1 of this thread, or we can not help you here.
