Hi, thanks very much for the reply. I've added the made in pictures she sent to me. Do you think the stitching looks okay (i.e. legit)? It's pretty old (she said around 10 years) and doesn't have a dustbag or receipt as she said was a gift (just noting as I believe they've looked a little different over the years). Thanks again for your help.

Yes, it's fine and looks exactly as expected. Very good price too!

Could someone please authenticate this bag? As always: Thanks!

There's no photo of the serial number, but otherwise it looks likely to be fine
Seller claims the bag doesn't have a serial number. This could be true, right? I've read somewhere on the forum that Mulberry bags were produced without serial numbers for a while.

Can someone please help me authenticate this impulse purchase? I love Mulberry ostrich

It would be unusual for an alexa not to have a serial number as from memory, the alexa was produced after the short window when there were no numbers. Otherwise, the bag does appear to be authentic and if it really doesn't have a number, it could just be that the maker forgot to add it. That happened with a batch of somerset models where they are missing the number. However, unless you are particularly set on that bag, I would wait for another to come along that has a number, as not having one could cause concern for any future buyer when you come to sell it.

Thank you! I think I'll wait then.

Right now I'm in my "just buy all the older style bags you always wanted but never got"-phase and thanks to this thread I'm successful (and so happy). I'll ask more questions, but try to limit my postings so as not to overstretch your generosity. Thanks again!

Thank you. Seller is pushing back and insisting it is genuine. I so desperately wanted this bag to be real Mulberry. Now I dont know what to do.
When asking additional questions etc, please ensure you always repost as stated in post #1, para 6. It's a poor fake, it's up to you if you want to believe the seller...

I stopped buying Mulberry around 2008 and was super impulsive- I didn't know how to file a SNAD on ebay any longer. I had help through a few friends and filed it. Thank you afain for the help.

Hi everyone! I’m new to PurseForum and find myself in need of some help. Hope I can post this in this thread. Just bought this pre-loved bayswater in oak, the price I thought was good (295 GBP/392 USD). It is in beautiful condition. When I bought it I did notice that it has a Made in Spain leather tag in the left bottom corner with ”bc” on the back, not the usual black cotton tag next to the zip-pocket. Do any of you know if this is a special purchase bag or something else? It does have it’s feet and clochette… A little worried about the authenticity :/ I don’t know too much about Mulberry bags i’m afraid.
