I have inherited this Mulberry bag. I don´t know whether it is an authentic Mulberry and would appreciate your help to find out.
I don´t know the name of the model, but the following no. is printed on the mulberry coin: 994889.

Hello. I am sorry but this is not a genuine Mulberry. The leather tag inside the bag should always be sewn around all four corners (except for instance washbags) on vintage bags. The interior lining is also not the same high quality as original. Sorry about that. Kind regards, Camilla

Kris, the reply given by the seller is as follows:-
"Hi the Aston's dont have a disc just the Mulberry logo inside. It is 100% as I bought it myself. Kind regards Amanda".
As seller is unwilling to provide extra pictures, I don't think it's worth pursuing this one as there's bound to be another listed at some stage.

rachelmalta - Yes it is good. It is actually called an Astor though, not an Elgin. The Astor's are exactly the same as the Elgin just made from this woven patten rio leather, and only made for quite a short time. Actually, the hardware colour is irrelevant to whether it has a number or not; the lack of number is down to the period when the bag was made.
