Hi, I've just sold this bag and the buyer is telling me it has glue marks and no serial ID so it must be fake. I posted clear photos of its condition and I had it authenticated here before I bought it a few years ago on eBay. Can someone please let me know if you can confirm it is real? I've told him they don't all have the IDs. I assume old bags do get discoloured like this and doesn't mean it's fake? Please help :(

Thank you

Hi.

It looks fine to me. Early bags didn't have a serial No. Why not ask the buyer to post some pics on here for her peace of mind? As to the glue marks....can't really help you with that one, but she got an absolute bargain imo

Seller has finally set me the requested pictures. However in her message to me she wrote:
"Just looking at the bag, there is no "made in label" or Mulberry coin with serial number on, because this was a "production sample" and not actual shop stock. (This is reflected in the buy it now price).
It was made in the factory in Somerset which I know because I worked at Mulberry. I know with these things missing it would look like a fake, but I can assure you it's not."

Have you guys got any idea?
Many thanks xx

I would say the seller is correct that this is a sample. Not all bags, whether production models or not have a round disc with serial number, but when they are there, they can aid us with authentication.

Yes, it looks fine. It is quite common for some of the paler coloured older bags to show yellow glue marks, they are easily removed.

Hi, if you kind ladies would please authenticate this Edie for me.

Item: Tan Sparkle Tweed Edie
Seller: I know her as jeevesy69 on Ebay

She had the bag listed on Ebay originally but Mulberry requested it be taken down because it was sold to a member of staff at a charity auction. She forwarded the email from Mulberry to me stating the reason for take down. I have included some additional pics I requested.
