Hi all - I know there's only one pic on the listing, but if someone could take a look and/or let me know what other info/pics I should ask for, that would be much appreciated. TIA!

Item: mulberry alexa handbag
Seller: mrsalexandrabarnes
Item number: 111007083508
Link:*http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/mulberry-...8?pt=UK_Women_s_Handbags&hash=item19d889abf4*

Would need to see a clear close up of the interior oval Mulberry label, and small black made in label at the very least.

Good morning ladies, Can anyone help authenticate the following Seth Messenger bags and assist in answering the question, if they are both authentic, why do they have different shoulder straps?

I have three hours to bid/buy this Alexa I've been eyeing on eBay. Can anyone help me authenticate this based on the posted pictures? The seller doesn't have a history of having sold anything in this price range, and I'm a bit nervous since I'm a new Mulberry fan.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I note you are in the US, and all three authenticators are in UK/Europe so for us, you posted in the middle of the night, and so would never have received a reply in time. Having said that, we would still have needed to see additional photos, one being the oval leather label taken straight on, and the small black made in label.

Hello.

I need some help authenticating this bag. I purchased it on eBay, and it has supposedly been authenticated by another online authenticator (I will check on that as well). I can see why the seller wanted it authenticated, because I have some difficulty believing it is real myself. For the moment, I would prefer not to include the eBay link, as I would prefer to have you use my photos only, if you don't mind.

My photos can be found at the following link:

Comments about the bag:
1) The body of the bag is very obviously PVC, not leather, it has a somewhat "plastic-y" feel to it, though it is sturdy.
2) Though the trim does feel and smell like leather, it is not soft. The leather is smooth and the color is very uniform. The stitching here is very uniform.
3) The stitching is done quite well and is of good quality throughout the bag...no complaints there.
4) All hardware, save the rings in the handle, is stamped with the Mulberry tree, and all the stamps are clear and precise.
5) The zipper is of good quality, and stamped "riri" on the underside, while the zipper handle is stamped with the Mulberry tree on both sides.
6) The lining is a good quality, sturdy material with a satin-y Mulberry tree jacquard finish... likely polyester or poly combo (definitely not silk). It is stitched quite well and attached to the bottom seams of the bag in a very sturdy way. The lining fits the bag perfectly.
7) The bag interior has a single slip pocket on both sides. Each pocket is lined in the same material used for the rest of the bag lining. (Very nicely stitched)
8) The Mulberry tag inside is as shown, and the only other tag is also shown. It is located along the side seam of the bag and says "Made in China" on one side and "ZT" on the other... this is not printed on the tag, but part of the material of the tag.

I hope this information helps. I appreciate any help you can provide.
Thank you!

Please ensure you post your requests in the format as stated in post #1. We don't ask that to be nosey, but aside from other things, we can check if the bag in the listing is the one that you have received. As Plemont advised, the bag is made from scotchgrain which is a poly-vinyl coated canvas (similar to the material that Louis Vuitton mongram canvas bags are made from). The bag in your photos is a genuine madison in cream scotchgrain with blonde leather trim, and looks exactly as I would expect it to. It would be probably from about 2005/6.

The second one is genuine, the first one I would like to see a clear photo of the interior leather label and also the small black made in label. If no made in label, the turnlock from the side profile, showing the hole. The first bag is chocolate the second one oak, hence different colour shoulder straps, however the same colour bag can still have different colour shoulder straps, Mulberry like to vary each item to make them unique.

I'm not an authenticator (although I do have some knowledge of vintage bags) - the body of the bag is made of scotchgrain, which is vinyl coated canvas. Scotchgrain is not leather.

It's a typical Mulberry material, widely used 10+ years ago but they still make bags in it today, and it's very hard wearing and easy to care for.

Thank you! That is good information

Hi Kris, thanks for your reply - I have got these additional photos from the seller which I have attached if they are any help???
