Another MJ lurker comes out of the woods, while desperately seeking late night handbags :smile1:

Apologies in advance if this one has already been asked about, I've checked way way back in back messages and didn't see any about this one (but sure learned a lot!)

Is this one real?

I love the bag's shape, style & color but the listing is mighty confusing to me. What would be the actual style/name/color of a bag like this one? Is it an older style?

Large Turnlock Satchel ~ yes it is an older style late 2004 or 2005 I believe ~ This will have Lampo zips and a nameplate with MII on it... I would ask the seller for a pics to be on the safe side. Not for sure what the correct color name is though... I had this in Dk. Berry once. :yes: It is not the Katie-that was a smaller sling style bag and the Kira was also in this line as well... it also was made in a Dk. Blue. This is most likely real - I have not seen a knockoff in this style that is even close to being correct - but additional pics cannot hurt...KWIM

Thanks so much - I've been trying to determine the size, so having the name helps already! I'll ask for more pics - the ones posted probably are not doing the bag justice either -- but if it's the bag I think it is, the ones I've seen IRL are gorgeous...

Send a PM to staciesg26 ~ she has the Dk. Berry and ask if she has other pics or could send you some... You might also do a search in this forum and see what pops up... Try the name of it and then you can also try turnlock too... GL :flowers:

I just bought this a couple of days ago, and to me it looks the same.

In case you wanted a better feeling of the size. Moreover I think the price on "yours" is quite expensive compared to what I got. Maybe I was lucky, I don't know. I really am quite a MJ-fan-newbie, but just trying to help out a bit...

The price is definitely high on the green one (Jade?) - tho they do have it listed as NWT. Still the pictures that are posted make it very hard to tell what the condition is (and shape and size LOL) . If the bag is from 3 years ago, a gal's gotta wonder how "new" it actually can be ;)

Again, please request pictures of the zipper heads and serial tag. :yes:

On a side note, I wouldn't necessarily want a Topaz bag in this style. The topaz color can rub off over time in areas of high rubbing/use and it might happen more with a shoulder bag that hangs directly under your arm.
