Comments: Hello, i bought this mansur calf leather mini bucket on ebay and seller selling this as new never used. Obviously this one is different compare to my large calf bucket bag in flamma also. I got the large one from mansur Oct launch and haven't use it, so this large one in picture is truly new.
Please check:
1. logo is different, the large one from mansur has bold and clear prints. This ebay one has terrible prints
2. color is different, ebay one is darker, looks like used. The large one i have is kind of pink red
3. leather surface looks less smoother than my new one, and you can see the flash light reflection

The weird thing is it comes with authentic box and tags, i know its authentic box and tags because i have bought couple mansur bags in the past and i have all the boxes and tags at home also. I have contacted with the seller and he/she said the bag is from July mansur launch.

So is this bag authentic? Or most likely, is this bag been used cause the color change?
Any input is appreciated, thank you very much

Can you post photos of the inside tag? I know there have been some posts about the variations in the calf colors, but photos of the inside tags would be helpful.

You can check all the inside pictures in this seller's ebay listing. After double check the bag, most likely this one is authentic, but its definitely used, the logo color is kind of spread out.

And the leather has wrinkled lines which new one does not have, and the reflection is kind of oily, which is another sign of usage.
As for the color, i do accept the color may vary a little. But i have at least 4 to 5 calf flamma buckets in new condition from different batcsh and their color does not seems to be this kind of dark red.
For vegetable tanned leather the color will become darker with its age. Not sure about calf leather. The seller said he/she bought from July launch, do you guys think the seller used it for couple months and selling as new now?

I just compared this one with my friend's new/never used moss calf mini, and big difference!

If the bag had been used even once the calf leather would show a lot more wear, particularly on the corners (this is a telltale sign I always look at when examining ebay listings). The stamping is a slightly more faint than the calf bag that I have, but I would still say that the bag pictured is definitely authentic.

I think the listing photos were pretty clear, so I don't think the seller was trying to sell a used bag - even the faint logo is apparent in the pictures. Did you not notice this before you purchased? Maybe you can ask the seller for a discount if you feel very strongly that the bag is not in pristine condition, though I do think she probably received the bag like this from MG.

The bag is authentic, though it was likely used as evidenced by the corner scuffs. The calf leather does have some variations, so it may look different from your previous bag.

Looks ok from the pics, but take a picture of the inside tag and the MG logo when you get it! If you can take a few other pics, that would be great as well :)

Comments: I just received this bag via ebay and since it's my first MG, I don't have anything to compare it to so I wanted to get a second (and third and forth!) opinion on its authenticity.

I have no reason to doubt that it's real except I got it pretty cheaply and I was the only bidder so it kinda seems too good to be true. Do those bidders know something I don't?
