Hello, looking for help authenticating this adorable Mini Looping. I don't have any reason to believe it's counterfeit but am new to LV…branching out from MJs and Fendis. :)

I have a vintage Speedy and the points where the lines meet are perfect just like the ones on the new bags... I think you dodged a bullet :smile1: Can any other vintage Speedy owners confirm this?

:tup::tup:
Aside from confusing members and enabling members to make potential bad purchases, or walk away from a good purchase, weighing in here without sufficient brand knowledge can damage a seller's reputation for a very long time, this being the internet and all.

I don't by any means to offend anyone, but I thought this was a site for people who love, own, and hope to buy genuine Louis Vuitton items...and I think that can include more that two people.

Take for instance: This bag, I am attaching in photo below, was posted for authentication on the previously closed thread, it was checked out as authentic, but the stitching was seriously bothering me. So when I was in Louis Vuitton last week I snapped a picture of the authentic bag- attached below

I don't think anyone on here is trying to give out false information or give anyone a bad reputation, everyone is trying to be respectful and above all helpful; I did send these to the individual who made the posting about the bag; she was very thankful. I think the more eyes you have on something from people who actually own these items (for instance my 87 LV speedy is sitting right next to me so I can say whether or not it contains this crossing on all the leather- I know), the better chance you have of figuring out whether the item is genuine or not.

The forum in its entirety is for all to enjoy, comment, and share their love of bags. This thread, however, is strictly an authentication thread. The recent misinformation and extra chatter is diminishing the integrity of this thread.

Moderators have been notified, and will hopefully check in here soon. (Comparing one vintage item to another sitting in your closet is not an informed authentication. Neither is taking a photo at a boutique of an MM Marais to "authenticate" another member's BB Marais.) The regular (and moderator-approved) authenticators are frustrated. So, at this time, I highly recommend to ALL members requesting authentication services to wait for and only heed determinations from our esteemed moderators, Lee and Addy.

Hello from Texas!
I have read the rules in post #1 and maybe I am missing something...the bag I am interested in I am actually able to view in person and not online.

Will someone be able to help me verify the authenticity? I can take any photos required because it will be right in front of me!

Thank you!

Wendy
