The Moderators for this thread are Lee and Addy. Please do NOT PM them to request an authentication. Please post in this thread.

NOTE: The PurseForum requests that only members with an extensive knowledge of the brand and authenticating who have over 500 posts participate as authenticators in this AT thread. The moderators reserve the right to remove authentications that do not meet these requirements.

READ THESE RULES BEFORE POSTING A REQUEST

This is a free service. Our authenticators are volunteers providing their opinions, and who desire to keep counterfeiters and dishonest sellers from profiting from their trade, and to help buyers find authentic items. Authenticators are not required to answer all posts and, for various reasons, some may not be answered.

It is the preference of the authenticators on this thread not to give authentication to members who buy and resell bags. It is also the preference of the authenticators to give authentication to members who post in a range of threads, not just requesting free authentication for designer items. If your request is not answered here, for whatever reasons, professional authentication services are available outside of PF.

1. Do a SEARCH and check if the item has been reviewed by one of the senior authenticators before posting a request. Searches can be done via the seller name or by auction/listing number - add * to the beginning and end of the number (eg. *12345678*).

2. You MUST use the format below when requesting for authentication for auctions or non-auctions:

Format to use for an auction item:

Item Name:
Item Number:
Seller ID:
Link: (please make sure link works after you post) Don't post mobile web link.

Format to use for items from sites of professional seller:

Item Name (if you know it):
Link: (please make sure link works after you post)
Photos: (attach using the paperclip at the top of the message box or upload to photobucket.com and post the links)

We will not authenticate for those who post photos only and cannot provide link to online auction/sale.

3. All requests must have clear photos (either in listing and/or provided by member requesting the authentication). This will help expedite authentications. Please ask the seller/use the macro setting on your digi (little flower). If you cannot see the details yourself, neither can we.

At minimum, pics MUST include:
- all exterior
- interior
- LV heat stamp
- date code
- engraving on hardware (ie. zipper pull, lock, rivet, pushlock, screws, etc)

If the listing or your request does not have the required pics, it will NOT be reviewed. That means if you have not received a response, please check your original posting to ensure all information and pics are present.

Check out this thread! If you're using Photobucket, don't post mobile photobucket links, pics are too small, post links.

Authenticators are not required to answer every request, and it is their right to ignore a request that is not in the proper format.

4. Do NOT make more than 3 requests per post.

5. Please wait at least 24 hours before bumping your request. Search by seller or item # to ensure that it has not been reviewed (see rule 1). If the auction is ending soon, you may say so in your comments. Remember, we are just like you, and get on tPF when we have time so please be patient.

6. To ensure that additional pics requested are seen by the authenticators, quote or provide a link to your original request and response. Use the quote feature or copy and paste the url. Failure to do do may result in your query not being answered. Please utilize the quote feature when responding directly to another post.

7. Comments on price and/or condition are NOT permitted. So please do not ask us for an opinion.

8. Do NOT PM an authenticator or moderator to request authentication. Any and all such requests must be posted in this thread.

9. Should one of your items be questioned in this thread, you are welcome to provide additional pictures or materials supporting its authenticity.

10. Do NOT handle your disputes with other members in this thread. Take your differences to Private Message or just use the REPORT function ( button) to alert the mods, and let them handle it from there. In the meantime, just ignore the poster until a Mod can intervene. Failure to do so can result in banning. Always be respectful when you post and treat others as you expect to be treated. This is an open thread and everyone is welcome to participate.

Could someone please have a look at this bag:

Name: Louis Vuitton Noe
Seller: tombstone.blues
Item number: 111816946231
http://www.ebay.de/itm/111816946231?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

I have problems uploading pictures and after trying for several times, I uploaded the pictures here and I hope this will work for you: http://imgur.com/a/TTxUJ

Thank you so much

Bump - Addy/Lee/Ish

Dear Addy, Lee and Ish,

after looking at my original post again this morning, I thought that the first pictures I uploaded might not be good enough to see all details, which is why I took new pictures and uploaded them again here: http://imgur.com/a/cGH74
The picture of the data code is the best I could take and I hope that with the new pictures it is visible that the color of the shoulder strap differs slightly from the rest of the bag, which seems a bit strange to be. Did the older Noe bag had a thinner shoulder strap or is this simply a fake (or a wrong shoulder strap)?

I would appreciate your opinion and I would like to thank you in advance for your time.

Hi ladies, could you kindly authenticate please?
I can get over the pen marks.
I'm in a panic, I have purchased the bag but the leather on the sides does not line up on the bottom. Also on the handle tabs there is double stitching for 3 stitches on the right bottom side of each tab.

Item name: Louis Vuitton Speedy Bandouliere 30 DE
Item number: 262155945485
Seller ID: baysnooks
Link: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/262155945485?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

I will also add another photo to the request of the bottom of the bag. I'm feeling sick.

Thank-you

Hello, Sorry but these pics are way too small. Is there anyway you could try to use Photobucket or similar? Also missing required Hardware pics (please read Post 1 carefully). Pictures need to be taken UP Close Straight On and without Flash/Glare. :ty:

My apologies! I did not know the pictures were so small. I have tried to take better pictures now - without glare/flash - and upload them in a bigger size. Hope these are better!

True, that was my assumption. I monitored the number of people who added that item to their watch list after I post the link and before the authentication result was out. It increased from 1 (just me) to 11 within 12 hours. Moreover the seller wasn't able to sell it when she listed it last time. It is easy to assume someone saw my post and got interested given the huge traffic of this site, which is totally fine and acceptable. I did wish I got the chance to make the purchase.

There is always a tradeoff between posting here to get authenticated or use a private service.

Just have to chime in, that's a huge (and likely false) assumption, I peeked and you posted that someone "saw your post" and swiped an item when it wasn't even yet evaluated (missing pics) another item's time was up/ended, and one was a best-offer that had an accepted offer (it was a great price, by a well-known VERY active seller) I don't think people aren't stalking this thread to swipe things, especially things not yet evaluated, imo. If this thread makes you sad (I've seen you post that at least twice on the forum now) then you could just use a paid/private service, if that would make you more comfortable.

I recently purchased a zippy organizer from eBay and took it to my local LV store. They said they would have said it was authentic just LOOKING at it, but that the FEEL of the wallet was stiffer than the one in their showroom. The wallet I purchased has a date stamp of SP1110. Do you know if they have changed the construction of the organizer in any way? Would it have been more stiff in this year of production that it is currently or do I have a fake? Thanks!

Ok. I have already replied to this request? Up loading pics from listing is Not what I asked for? Please see my reply in bold and ask the Seller for the following pictures Thank you.

Hi,
I was hoping you got my new pictures that I posted from the seller. If you have time today would you mind letting me know if the bag is authentic. I'm sorry I didn't understand the rules at first but I think everything should be posted now.

Thank you in advance and please let me know if you need anything else.

I personally, have not seen this website before. The listing only shows me One pic and it's blurry and with only 1/4 of the actual bag showing?(at best).

There is a heat stamp under shoulder pad, but still All Good.

Perfect pictures! Thank you! :D

Looks good - Congrats! and Enjoy!

JASN: I see Ishcat is on.
