The Moderators for this thread are Lee and Addy. Please do NOT PM them to request an authentication. Please post in this thread.

NOTE: The PurseForum requests that only members with an extensive knowledge of the brand and authenticating who have over 500 posts participate as authenticators in this AT thread. The moderators reserve the right to remove authentications that do not meet these requirements.

READ THESE RULES BEFORE POSTING A REQUEST

This is a free service. Our authenticators are volunteers providing their opinions, and who desire to keep counterfeiters and dishonest sellers from profiting from their trade, and to help buyers find authentic items. Authenticators are not required to answer all posts and, for various reasons, some may not be answered.

It is the preference of the authenticators on this thread not to give authentication to members who buy and resell bags. It is also the preference of the authenticators to give authentication to members who post in a range of threads, not just requesting free authentication for designer items. If your request is not answered here, for whatever reasons, professional authentication services are available outside of PF.

1. Do a SEARCH and check if the item has been reviewed by one of the senior authenticators before posting a request. Searches can be done via the seller name or by auction/listing number - add * to the beginning and end of the number (eg. *12345678*).

2. You MUST use the format below when requesting for authentication for auctions or non-auctions:

Format to use for an auction item:

Item Name:
Item Number:
Seller ID:
Link: (please make sure link works after you post) Don't post mobile web link.

Format to use for items from sites of professional seller:

Item Name (if you know it):
Link: (please make sure link works after you post)
Photos: (attach using the paperclip at the top of the message box or upload to photobucket.com and post the links)

We will not authenticate for those who post photos only and cannot provide link to online auction/sale.

3. All requests must have clear photos (either in listing and/or provided by member requesting the authentication). This will help expedite authentications. Please ask the seller/use the macro setting on your digi (little flower). If you cannot see the details yourself, neither can we.

At minimum, pics MUST include:
- all exterior
- interior
- LV heat stamp
- date code
- engraving on hardware (ie. zipper pull, lock, rivet, pushlock, screws, etc)

If the listing or your request does not have the required pics, it will NOT be reviewed. That means if you have not received a response, please check your original posting to ensure all information and pics are present.

Check out this thread! If you're using Photobucket, don't post mobile photobucket links, pics are too small, post links.

Authenticators are not required to answer every request, and it is their right to ignore a request that is not in the proper format.

4. Do NOT make more than 3 requests per post.

5. Please wait at least 24 hours before bumping your request. Search by seller or item # to ensure that it has not been reviewed (see rule 1). If the auction is ending soon, you may say so in your comments. Remember, we are just like you, and get on tPF when we have time so please be patient.

6. To ensure that additional pics requested are seen by the authenticators, quote or provide a link to your original request and response. Use the quote feature or copy and paste the url. Failure to do do may result in your query not being answered. Please utilize the quote feature when responding directly to another post.

7. Comments on price and/or condition are NOT permitted. So please do not ask us for an opinion.

8. Do NOT PM an authenticator or moderator to request authentication. Any and all such requests must be posted in this thread.

9. Should one of your items be questioned in this thread, you are welcome to provide additional pictures or materials supporting its authenticity.

10. Do NOT handle your disputes with other members in this thread. Take your differences to Private Message or just use the REPORT function ( button) to alert the mods, and let them handle it from there. In the meantime, just ignore the poster until a Mod can intervene. Failure to do so can result in banning. Always be respectful when you post and treat others as you expect to be treated. This is an open thread and everyone is welcome to participate.

So true. I’m looking to get another bag. Don’t know why???
Hey maybe it will be a hard to find item and you can sell it at cost without the RCP and use it on other bags.
I thought about breaking it up! But I know a lot of people want this bag so it makes me happy to send it away to a good home instead. I wish they’d start adding the d-ring to their straps though. I love that.

Good one! We have talked about a welcome mat that says dogs welcome, everyone else go away :P

I second that!

And good grief EmmJay you are a busy strap changing fab photo taking goddess! It takes lots of time to do all that! I love all your combinations and I especially love the Pochette turned so the vachetta tabs don’t show. Now just when I thought I was safe, I have this sneaking suspicion the pink one might go on my wishlist. Noooooooooo! Must remain strong...

Thank you! I love that the bag can be worn so many ways. The MP is permanent so I hope that helps in making your decision.

Impossible to authenticate based solely on those pictures & engraving (which still has plastic on) Sorry!

Sold? Did you buy this?

Again, impossible to authenticate based solely on one pic & I really would need to see it IRL. Sorry!
Hi! Yes, i bought the one on fashionphile and it should get here tuesday. Its used and has scratches, so if i do not like the condition, that one on ebay is the same price but its new never used. And i would buy that one instead. But keep the FP one if it looks great.

But for that price, whichever one i buy/keep i would want to make sure they are authentic! But there is no way to authenticate them? And if not, is this an item that is counterfeited frequently? Thank u so much :flowers:

We have some members who act like the LV police and can’t wait to jump on anyone for the slightest thing (this is not directed at you).

Don’t panic everyone, as I said earlier in the thread, I had no intention of returning it, because I wanted to try it before deciding I didn’t like it. I’m planning to just sell at cost on one of those Facebook pages.
You don’t owe an explanation to anyone. There is nothing wrong with ordering and trying on. What difference does it make if you try it at home or in the store. There are so many people who carry items and then return. If it doesn’t work for you you are the one who can decide what to do with the item. I purchased 2 sets and I saw that one girl was looking for a set on one of the Facebook pages I sold it to her just added some shipping cost and PayPal fees. As the result, I lost about $30-$40 but at least I know that the bag will go to a person who will appreciate an item instead of reselling it. I’m still debating if I should keep the second set.

I’m the same as you, I don’t mind losing a few bucks. I really wanted to give it a full test drive before writing it off since bags are so different when you actually use them.

They take a return after it has been worn?!?
I didn’t return it, I didn’t say I returned it, I didn’t say I was going to return it, and for extra clarity, I’m not planning on returning it.

I hope when you list it you will say that you carried this bag before otherwise, potential buyers have that right to know. Good luck selling it!!!

Hmm breaking it up. You could probably get some good cash. I would easily pay $600 for that awesome color green strap. Only issue is I have it already. But I sure would love another round coin purse with a hook. Probably could get $400.

If I was going to keep, I’d planned to sell the strap to buy the blue one instead. I’m sure we’ll see “parts” for sale in no time. I’d love to have the large sized pochette on its own. It’s a nice size!

Uh, thanks? I don’t know why you’d suggest I’d do otherwise but I’ve sold many times and would not misrepresent the condition.
I didn’t suggest anything.

i didn’t mean anything bad when I said that. If it offended you I’m sorry I didn’t mean to

I hear what you’re saying. That blue is hot. I originally preordered the green-pink not knowing I was getting the MP Green at the time lol.

Now I love both the sizes of these pouchettes that I would sell my mini and PA (never used) and wouldn’t even sweat it. Only issue is I’m not into any social media to sell them. I don’t trust selling LV on eBay. There are a lot of scammers who are buyers. Don’t trust them. So I guess I’ll just pass them onto my grandchildren.
