Don't like the look of this also but please post bigger,clearer close ups of the LV heatstamp,date code,plate and full interior and we can be sure it's fake..

Thanks so much Lee. Your the best!!! I also took this bag to my wonderful SA at the LV store in SCP and he also agreed it was a fake. As soon as I got home I contacted the seller and told her I just got home from the LV store in SCP and that I was so mad that this handbag she sold me was a fake. She told me she was so sorry and had received the handbag as a gift and did not realize it was a fake. She told me to ship it back to her and she will refund me. I also contacted my CC company and Paypal and they told me not to worry that they will make sure I get my money back. I will never buy another LV handbag on CL or ebay without getting it authenticated on this board first. Thank you again for all of the great work that you do!!!!

The seller tried taking the photo again, but it's no better than the ones below from yesterday She said:

"Tried natural light but still not a great photo. Think it's becasue it's black leather. The date code reads SP0012. "

I'm not sure about the date code: in the auction, she said

"I purchased this bag from the Louis Vuitton Shop in Bond Street London in 2001"

I've found different info online about whether it's the first and third or second and fourth numbers which indicate the year; if it's the second and fourth, then it doesn't make sense that she bought it in 2001, right?

Here's the background: I got two bags from an on-line site which has been recommended before on this forum. This was about 6 months ago. I decided to sell one (not an LV), only to be told it's a fake! Which set off alarm bells regarding the other bag I purchased from the same site -- a Trevi PM. So I ran and took some photos, and would love your opinion on this. Now that I look at it closer, the date code looks really wrong to me. I'm no expert, but on a few other LV bags I have the date code is side-ways on the inside pocket, by the seam; this one is horizontal on the rim of the pocket. Do I have a big fat fake on my hands?
