I don't know the story behind the rivets. I was told that the purse is very old and one of the first Papillons to come out. The zipper has been fixed.

Any heatstamps (LV, date code) inside the Pap?

packaging and receipt are the easiest things ot fake.
Need to see closer pics - these are just way too far away (suggest she use her macro setting on her camera - little flower)
