Comment:

First issue would be a birth year scarf – but I’m assuming because of condition that this is a re-issue of the design?

Thanks.
SOLD.
As to birth her question …. Com-located … hmmm … Generally it is VERY important to get the issue year EXACT eg 1977 not 1976, for ex.
The birth year topic comes up for the oldies, since the buyers are typically of a certain generation. Some of the oldies of interest can go for large sums, because they are rarer.
Well, many of the older issue dates are not known that precisely. Esp for years when there were no Hermes brochures. And collections used to come out in the fall (of say) 1976, but some consider those to be 1976-1977 scarves. I cannot talk to the accuracy of dates in various books which can disagree (what are their sources?).
So, the birth year scarf thing is fraught with inaccuracy/issues. So, buyer beware.

PS yes, there is also the pesky question of first issue date for design versus date of printing for the silk. Not always the same …

Thanks for your time. Looks like it got scooped up quite quickly by some other lucky person before I could act..

There are great fakes of this double sided scarf. There is nothing much to Go on in the Photos except logo and title. Caretag has been removed - ughhh and is blurry, no copyright or signature.
Thank you for your insights! I did make out copyright on the green side plus signature as well. The seller also did send a picture of her receipt from the H store in Stuttgart.

One can often make out the existence of a signature/copyright , they are often present on fakes, the acid test is closeup photos that show they were nicely printed But close up photos were lacking here.

Dear authenticators,

I’d love to hear your opinions about the authenticity of this scarf on eBay. I decided to not get this scarf when it was first released and now buyer remorse is killing me so I’d really appreciate your help!

Blurry copyright, hard to see, silk is not flat. Nice photo of store tag and the store tag obscures the caretag. No effort on sellers part to show off the features of the scarf, see post 1.
