Sorry if this is not in the right thread. Not a full authentication post, but rather a question on how a scarf should age because I suspect one I am looking at MIGHT be fake. All of the little details are there (fabric tag, artist's name, etc) but there are a few points on the scarf where the color seems to be "out of the lines" Although the scarf is circa 1990's so perhaps with age this could happen?
There is none of this on my others but they aren't nearly as old ad I purchased them in store

Am I just too nervous or is this cause for concern

yes Not the thread to ask about scarf aging, try looking in the Hermès reference subforum for a better spot

I would really appreciate authentication of this scarf.

HERMES CARRE PIERRES D'ORIENT ET D'OCCIDENT 90CM SILK SCARF

Seller: Fortrove.com

URL: https://fortrove.com/collections/al...-pierres-dorient-et-doccident-90cm-silk-scarf

Comments: I cannot find record of this color pattern anywhere: blue background *green trim* and red border. The website claims to guarantee authenticity but I am skeptical that I can't find these colors anywhere! Thank you.

Sadly there’s not a comprehensive database of all scarf designs and their individual color variations. :shrugs: With something like 2,000 designs & counting it would be a Herculean task to compile.

And the whole task is getting astronomically more difficult every season since one should theoretically correlate all the remix, moderne, tattoo, dip dye etc variants. That is, I would like to be able to search for all Brides de Gala variants in red , or something kinda close to red but how close....

and using the example of this Pierres ... would you file it under red. Cobalt or emerald ?
