This listing has the very same pictures as those in the listing below. You may ask the seller whether he is the boyfriend of the seller of the other listing. I am wondering why a good scarf seller (the one in the listing below) would hand over this item to a seller, which never sold Hermes before and then hope for higher bids. Just wondering. :confused1:

Pictures in both listings show an authentic Kachinas summer twill.

Thank you SO MUCH Dame de Coeur ! Will do - thank you for your time and help - much appreciated - as always :smile1: LG

Just to give everybody comfort. I know the seller of the first listing and had asked her about this this morning. In the meanwhile, she has confirmed that the Kachinas in the second listing is indeed sold by her boyfriend. :smile1:

oh, i don't know what this means. is it a good or bad thing?

LeBrech is a reputable auction house, which sells what people bring them along. I am actually surprised that none of their experts has realized that this item belongs into the archives of Hermes. How this ended up with a private person, I don't want to speculate. But I have never heard H giving these items to employees or even putting them on auction. In the last months I have seen a few of these items on ebay and other auction houses. Being a collector myself, I can understand why people would want to have it, but they should maybe ask themselves about the provenience of an item. I hope that H can purchase this back for their archives or that somebody gets it who may offer it to them (or even donate).

Re post #588

Hello, Dame de Coeur.... Thank you so much for the education. Is there a resource for a newbie like myself to know more about this type of thing? I love this brand and would like to show my appreciation by being more educated in its history, the way we do with this forum for anyone who try to hurt it by selling fakes. Thanks so much!

thank you for explaining. I only posted the screen saver picture from LeBrech as additional info/comment (for TPF authenticator/s reference if needed) since it was one of those sites that came up when I did my own research first. But the scarf did not come from them just to clarify. It is a personal item which was passed down to me. sorry if this might sound stupid :p but going back as I was not able to get a yes/no... is the scarf (based on pics 1-2-3) authentic? :smile1: thank you and sorry for the trouble!

Good day, can you help me authenticate this scarf? I am interested in biddng on it. It looks real to me but I am new to Hermes, and the picture with unused ribbon somehow gave me a doubt (I know, it is silly, huh?... :smile1:) Thank you so much!

There is not such a thing as encyclopaedia of H scarves (and other things). Would love that myself :graucho: The world of H is so vast that it is almost impossible to know and have seen everything. But this thread and its older versions can give you a lot of education. We know that many people lurk here just for this very reason. We often have just the regular scarves, unfortunately many fakes, but once in a while, we come aross items, which are unusual and cannot be found in any guide. Its all Goode is a great resource for checking color options. HSCI offer a lot of pictures. Luxury Scarves has the best database, but as H does constantly things, which are not announced, it is extremely difficult to keep track of everything. So, also LS has gaps, but is recommendable. When it comes to guides, which try to explain Hermes scarves by setting a few rules, they clearly cannot cover the universe of H.

First, I am ultimately relieved that the item in question does not come from LeBrech (had a hard time believing it). Anybody with a bit of ethics in their bones, will return this item to H and not sell it. This is a not a commercial item you can buy. This is stolen property. Where did you get this from?

oh my... we have an hermes store here in manila, and i plan to go there just to ask for an opinion. it was with me for the longest time but I was not knowledgeable back then about hermes scarves and i didn't really give it much thought. i have no idea though how a "hot" item could reach a country like the philippines. anyway, it was passed down to me, not until I am 100% sure about the source/nature/info about this particular scarf, i wouldn't feel comfortable giving details about the family member I got this from hope you understand. but i'll definitely try to reach out to hermes - by visiting their store here, and I have already sent an online inquiry (no idea how long they may respond).

by the way, when i run a search on google (keywords: hermes tableau de chasse henri de linares), there are a few that were either sold in the past and/or are up for sale... so I don't know how that would be stolen property? confused for now and would get answers soon from H I hope :)

just to name some:

again, the item you posted is not a commercial item. it is a prototype from the archives of Hermes. It has certain features, which make it clearly distinguishable from the commercial product. And I am not going to elaborate on this further. I just hope that this item finds its way back to where it belongs.
The other scarves you have listed are commercial items available at H boutiques at a given time.

Huges thanks to DDC for carrying the ball here. If I am needed on any specific posts from the last three weeks, please give me the number. Thanks.

Heya - I have a post #515 a Grand Apparat [?] blue/gold colorway which I have since bought which was not given a definitive answer by an official forum authenticator.

There was no care label, the hems are as expected - no © as in the Grand Apparat above. just the Hermes name and the designer sig.

Many, many thanks for any help you can give.

Do you have the scarf now? Are you able to post pictures? Please create shots that include signature, Hermes Paris and copyright. Thanks.
