I was extremely baffled when I saw this listing and inspected the photos. I had always thought this seller, even though over-prices things, often sells authentic goodies. Dear experts, please advise.
L'Arbre de Vie CS GM shawl
seller: vagabond204
Listing ID: 261489654136

I sincerely hope my list of trusted sellers (authenticity-wise) doesn't get shortened further as it's already very short now...

Why this seller was on your list of trusted sellers, I do not understand. This is not the first fake spotted there.

In this instance, I have reason to suspect that the seller knows that something is wrong with this item. The price point is so far off of their usual price range for CS GM and Arbre de Vie in new condition easily sells for more (they would never ever offer it below 1700 USD).

What also gave me pause is that the item location has suddenly changed to the US. The seller is known to be located in Japan.

This Arbre de Vie CS GM is not authentic, it is one of the 'better' counterfeits, but far off from the real one. Still, at this price point somebody will for sure walk into the trap. Would appreciate if you could put this into the Hall of Shame.

Item: rare foulard soie "Hermès“ "brides de gala" authentic
Seller: 2012vintage12

Comment: thanks in advance for authenticating this one too. Seriously, how can one say "in good condition" when the scarf has stains and pulled threads? (still looking for a classical design to dye myself)

well, the majority of French sellers have a very weird understanding of 'good condition'. Everywhere else it is a rag.

Good news: it looks authentic

I fell in love with this cotton scarf! I have never purchased a hermes item and I tried to do my due diligence..but came up empty handed. The country of origin is a concern (Italy?) and the lack of tag...

Item: Les Bles cotton 70cm

Comments: thanks!

sorry, we don't authenticate for members with zero TPF history (same applies for members basically visiting TPF to ask for free authentication).

I'm French, but it still looks like poor condition to me. Good condition would be without tag, washed multiple times, no stains ;)
Thanks (if I get it and dye it successfully, I'll let you know)

Thank you for the confirmation. I'll put it in the Hall of Shame then.

Darnit. I'm sorry...I read the guidelines and wanted to be respectful of your space here. Should have figured it was too good to be true :) You may want to consider updating the rules

Hello authenticators, would you kindly have a look at this one and give an opinion as too being genuine Hermes? Thank you in advance!

Item: HERMES PARIS MADE IN FRANCE 100% SILK SCARF 35" x 35" DUCKS LA MARE AUX CANARDS - item number: 351078019093
Seller: thefastmall
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/351078019093?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649
Comment: The care tag is as far as I can make out an older, smaller one, whereas an identical scarf sold here has a large caretag - is there a logical explanation to this:

If you examine both scarves you will see that they are not identical (different hues; different copyright; and more). Details often vary from one issue to another. The tags are different because one is from the original issue, the other is the later re-issue.
