Hi, I've been away for some time but am back, and was wondering if you could authenticate this L'Hiver en Poste for me?

Listing Number: 141084165929
Seller: Ma7designs
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Authentic-Gorgeous-Womens-Winter-Hermes-Scarf-Stunning-/141084165929?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT&nma=true&si=DH6Hu2CheGDUZHSrXRtvzTCfZqU%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

The photos are not great, the main photo was taken of the reverse side of the scarf. However, I've carefully examined the scarf, and it has the weight and feel of Hermes silk twill. The Hermes signature, tag, Title, Ledoux signature, and copyright all look right to me. Some of the distinguishing features of this scarf look right, the white on white silkscreening on the snow, the silkscreened snowflakes on the top portion of the scarf (however the snowflakes actually show up more prominently on the reverse side of the scarf). The colors are a little more muted than I expected. However I have never owned this in the red colorway, the last time I had this scarf it was in the plum colorway. This scarf did not come in a box, it came in a heavy plastic sleeve.

Thanks in advance!

this is authentic
and printing-wise as fantastic as the one we have discussed a bit earlier. the colorway is much more muted IRL (i.e. the red is darker than the pics).

Just when I think I've learned most there is to know about scarves ... Machine-made hems on an Hermes, I had no idea! Thanks so much, dame de coeur!

I had no idea that Hermes ever did machine made hems either! Thanks for the lesson Dame!

H does machine hems more often than one would think ... Pareos and scarf-like items from RTW often do come with machine-made hems. I have seen many pochettes (often issued in larger quantities for a special event) with the same. As usual with H, there is no rule without many exceptions :graucho:

Thank you DdC! I was a little worried because some of the faces of the coachmen do not have faces, and I've seen quite a number of the red colorway on ebay lately. And since the main photo was of the reverse side of the scarf, I was worried. Also, The white on white silkscreening was not as pronounced as I remember on my old plum colorway scarf. But I'm thrilled it's authentic because this is one of my all time favorite Hermes scarves. If only I could get the plum again at a reasonable price.

There are a number of scarves where faces are missing. While it is bad when it is a Zabavushka, it does not matter with many other designs ;)
