Lacy and Lily, why don't you do the Solomon like thing and share the bag. :)

Kidding

TIA with Misti. You work it out and in the meantime, no one has ventured an opinion re authenticity and I don't think you are going to get one either. Since I am leery of the seller, I am leery of the bag.

Hi, I'm not questioning authenticity of this Birken 30. Just need some help and not being familiar with Hermes, couldn't discern the answers to my questions from review of your wonderful references. The bag is owned by a friend of mine who relocated from New York to Florida in 2008 to attend a cardiology fellowship at UF (where I work). The bag was purchased for her by her "ex" (another reason she chose a program here) who bought it from the NYC Hermes boutique in Spring 2006. She's thinking of selling it so there is no listing or seller ID to reference yet. We need some help confirming a few things before I can list it for her:
1-The leather type (Epsom? Barenia? etc.). Appears to be Epsom, would you agree?
2-The color listed on the Hermes sales receipt is "Gold" but it looks different than the gold color on the Togo leather. Is that solely because of the leather or do you ladies feel that "gold" isn't correct and maybe it's "cognac" or another color?
3-Most important: The Hermes stamp is in brown. We heard that in 2006 on certain leathers a brown stamp was used as well as the gold and silver. Wanted to confirm this is true, which would help identify the leather type and help explain to potential buyers why the stamp is brown instead of gold or silver.

I'm attaching photos. If you need more, let me know. And if I should have posted this someplace else, please accept my sincere apology. Thanks so much for your help.

Please help us by remembering to use the format in all requests, even if you are reposting.

also, if the "Removed listing" message included empty parentheses, its a link issue, and you can find it with the item number.

This listing () has been removed, or this item is not available.

*
Please check that you've entered the correct item number
*
Listings that have ended 90 or more days ago will not be available for viewing.

***If there is a number in the parentheses, it has really been removed.

This would be better in the main subforum as a please ID this leather thread.
