^^ Teddy, here's a standard you can follow.

A) please provide more details. What does private sale mean - consignment store, web site, friend (and if so, where did they obtain the bag), what leather did they say this is supposed to be, how much are they asking, general circumstances of the initial purchase
B) these pictures are inadequate. Please review the first post for the pics we ask for. Thanks.

heres another picture that i got from her. She only sent me 2 pics. She's not a friend but I know her from a friend and she said we could meet up so I can check the bag before I decide to buy and pay for it. the asking price is $7000. I didnt ask what kinda leather nor where she got the bag from.

If you are not comfortable authenticating a bag from pictures you will not be able to do it in person.

$7,000 is a massive amount (in my book, at least) to risk and there is always a huge level of risk in these situations.

While there are always (rare) exceptions, the friend-of-a-friend far too often ends poorly for the buyer.

I would not part with $7,000.00 based on just these two pictures.....

teddy......if you are thinking of purchasing a Birkin from someone you, personally, do not know very well, I'd recommend spending some time on this forum, educating yourself about the brand. Other than buying directly from the boutique or from a very reputable reseller this is the only way you can feel comfortable parting with your money.

ok guys ur in my mind ridiculous!!!!! Just because I have not sold any birkins because it is not my thing !!!! and it does not mean my bags are fake !!!!! sorry to tell u I have original reciepts and my Global refund reciepts which is for the duty free tax for all 3 bags and they were bought in a new store that opened in Europe when I was vacation and to let everyone know when a new store opens especially in a summer resort all boutiques get supplied with plenty of birkins and especially new colors.
So really u all should not be judging because its not fair why dont u experts call Paris and to see the craftsmen Id # matchs with the bags that I am selling!!

Handbag*diva, I believe we have discussed your bags in the past. I believe that in addition to eBay you are selling under the ID myhauteexclusives on bonanzle.

I see you are selling the same bag on eBay and on bonanzle at the moment...

http://www.bonanzle.com/booths/MYHA...S_35CM_BOUGAINVILLEA_BIRKIN_BAG_WITH_GOLD_HAR

The same bag on eBay under your ID:

http://cgi.ebay.com/2010-HERMES-35C...tem&pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item2eae509fd2

None of the authenticators have ever felt comfortable with any bags, and I do not believe anyone here can say with any degree of comfort that any bag we have observed on any of your sites are authentic.

Receipts are really meaningless. It is the bags and the images that are critical, and at this point there is no comfort level that I have observed with your bags.

Sellers are welcome to come here and add better data and discuss provenance when something comes up. I have found over the years that legitimate and experienced sellers respond with professionalism and that, in some cases, authenticators are able to reassess the situation and even change their minds.

On the other hand, there seems to be a direct correlation between defensive fury and questionable authenticity.
