Hi Fendi experts,

I need your help ASAP! I finally found a Wisteria spy and it came today. But I have a gut feeling it's fake. I bought it locally from a seller here and I've bought from her twice and they're authentic.

If it is indeed fake, I will tell her and ask for a full refund.

There are glue traces on the bag, and some parts of the leather smelled a bit plasticky, unlike my Spy hobo leather. The yellow Fendi card also looks different, it's really glossy. There's also a typo and the dust bag is also different. My old one is a bit rough (the fabric), this one is satiny and the Fendi print looks lame.

Here are the pics. You be the judge. HELP! :sweatdrop:
It looks authentic to me.
There are 2 types of auth FENDI dbags, one is more satiny, one is more like nylon.

On the glue spots, those show up a lot, especially on White bags...not just FENDI, All brands!!! However, if you don't like, you might return based on condition. ;)

I JUST WANT TO THANK YOU SO MUCH! THE BAG ARRIVED AND I TOOK IT TO THE FENDI BOUTIQUE HERE....THEY SAID THE SAME THING YOU SAID PLEATHER...FAKE FAKE FAKE! YOU REALLY KNOW YOUR STUFF!!! NOW IN PROCESS OF RETURNING THE BAG AND GETTING MY MONEY BACK....THANKS!!! ANOTHER THING LIKE YOU MENTIONED TO ME "not to buy until i get it authenticated" but whats should we do when we put ...for example the Ebay page on the forum and someone who knows the bag and the authenticity of the particular bag buy it before we can have it authenicated? Thats why i must admit the reason why i didnt take any chances and i brought it, also considering i thought it was an authentic fendi.
THANKSssssssss loTS!!:smile1:

Yes, you do run that risk, but chances are, someone who knows their stuff is not likely to go looking on this board first. Most tPFers come to this board to have their finds authenticated. Someone who knows authentic from fake would just snap it up on eBay straight away. And as for auctions where you may have a few hours or days before auction ends, baglady.1 and I are fairly diligent about checking this board every few hours. I have this board sync'd to my iPhone and know when there are new posts instantaneously. It's just a matter of being able to log in right away.

Personally, I wouldn't want to buy a bag without getting it authenticated first. It's just not worth the ensuing headache of sending it back and worrying over whether the seller is going to refund my $$. Afterall, if they can sell me a fake bag, what's to say they won't scam me out of my $$ as well? This has happened to me in the past (before I found tPF ;)) and I would never allow it to happen to me again. But...that's just me :D

Hi baglady,

Thank you so much! I am so relieved! :yahoo:I was really scared that I got a fake, after all this time!

So there's nothing funny about the bag, dustbag or the yellow Fendi card? But I also noticed that the stitching at the back of the wand is a bit uneven. Is that common?

Thanks a lot!! :hugs:

Yikes! :yucky: It's fake! Sorry!

Hi there,
I'm new to this forum and didn't know about its existence until one hour ago unfortunately. On 20th July Sherryloh posted several times about a spy bag (spy 2) which I bought on ebay. I live in The Netherlands and it took 3 weeks to reach me, but finally I received the bag yesterday.
I immediatly had doubts about the authenticity and here I read it's a fake:cry:. The seller 11thandocean removed the pictures very quick from Ebay but luckily I find them here. The bag I received is dark chocolate brown, not cognac. Can you explain to me why you think it's a fake? And do you know what I can do, to try and get my money back? I've never dealt with this before... I've paid about 524 dollars for it!
Hope you can help me!!

We don't post the reasons why bags are fake because we don't want to help the fakers make better fakes. But I can assure you your doubts are correct - it is indeed fake. Best thing for you to do is communicate with the seller. Did they have a return policy when you bought it? If they are unwilling to issue a refund, then open a dispute with eBay/Paypal. Sorry!

Thoughts on these? :flowers:

This one looks weird to me...
