Speedah, to be honest, I'm not very good with vintage bags
, so I've forwarded them on to Litigatrix to have a look. She doesn't profess to be an expert on them either, but the resident expert on vintage, baglady.1 is on vacation right now...so we'll give it our best shot...

Hi Accio, Thanks for helping me out. Yes I saw them both (recommended spys). I don't really like the patent leather look. Too flashy for me. I really really like the white but it would be hard to maintain with my 2 small kids. Looks really good yah? The price is slightly off for me though. My budget is about $800 max.
Also just wondering if this bag (a mommy's day out bag), is authentic?

Yes, I had the white Spy as well and found I was too afraid to use it because I always had my two kids with me as well. I traded it for my Blueberry Spy, which I find much more sensible. If you're wanting a Spy for that price, you'll have to be patient and keep watching eBay then.
Would need to see clear, close-up pics of the hologram and leather serial strip for the Chef Bag...
I am always looking at the ebay deals on Fendi Spy bags...I will let you know if I find a nice one in the price range you are looking for...I go on ebay as well as a few other sites.
I like the white one but I agree...I am SO paranoid about my blueberry one...I don't think I would make it out of the house with the white one!!!

I took a chance on ebay on a leopard Fendi w/o seeing the hologram& number, seller had great fb and assured it was authentic. It was a great deal because of the stain on the back. Today I received it, but I have real doubts it is authentic. I can't find a number/hologram inside and the quality of the lining and hardware seems different than my own fendi's. Is it even possible that there is no number and hologram?
Anyway, here are pics, please let me know what to do with it, I did pay with pp, so I hope I'm safe...

I took a chance on ebay on a leopard Fendi w/o seeing the hologram& number, seller had great fb and assured it was authentic. It was a great deal because of the stain on the back. Today I received it, but I have real doubts it is authentic. I can't find a number/hologram inside and the quality of the lining and hardware seems different than my own fendi's. Is it even possible that there is no number and hologram?

Hey JessieRose, Do keep me updated if you see anything good. Yes the white would be dreamy. I would definately take it if I didn't have small kids but it's out of the question now. I am so careful using my Speedy Azur and that is canvas. With pure leather, I would freak out. It would be a total waste of money just leaving it in my closet.
By the way the spy 2 seller responded when I question the authenticity and that tpf authenticators think it is a fake and this is his/her response:
Umm, yes..my receipt! I don't sell fake bags. I have been selling on Ebay for seven years & have 1200+ feedback...I'm sure my credibility & reputation would be shot if I was ripping off my customers. I understand you are leary of your purchase, but there really isn't anything else I can do to prove to you. You saw the original listing & I sent clear pictures of the serial #, hologram, etc. I am not sure what other picture you posted on TPF, but the one I sent yesterday was a stock photo from Fendi depicting the true color of the bag since you did not like the original picture I had posted in the listing.

I purchased a Fendi bag off ebay last month, which I did autheticate here. But now that I've had it for a while (and had the time to scrunitize) I'm kind of iffy.
There are three straps, and the stitching on one of them is much longer than the stitching two... (can actually be seen in one of the close-ups, it is the strap at the top)... I personally don't think it's like Fendi to do something like that
I've also looked at the feedback, and the seller is currently listing this same bag again in the same colour, and has listed it in the past as well in the same colour. Aside from this, they've listed three other bags of the same style, but in a different colour.
Here is a link to the auction (they used the same picture in my listing aswell)
