Dear experts,

I was wondering if you guys could help me. I am about to do a closet clearing, and was hoping to sell some of my handbags on ebay.

Small problem is that most of my luxury handbags have been purchased second-hand, which means I have no original sales receipt to vouch for their authenticity.

Now, for the most part I am really quite confident my bags are authentic, as all but one were purchased from one of the most prestigious and well-regarded high-end dress agencies in London, where they pride themselves in choosing their items very carefully.

Still, I must admit I have some doubts about one of the 2 Fendi bags I'm selling (it's the smaller one, made of dark brown and pale yellow zucca print canvas). I cannot remember whether I got that one at the dress agency or through ebay… and the long code inside the pocket looks a bit weird to me – very faint, like it wasn’t embossed properly or something.

I really don't want to sell something dodgy on ebay, so I was hoping you guys could look at the photos I took of both my Fendi bags, and give me your opinion.

I know the numbers on the code tag of the smaller Fendi are very hard to read, so I’ll give you the full number here: 2241-8BR003IQ4039

I uploaded my pictures onto my photobucket account. Please follow the link and go to pages 1 and 2. I’m selling quite a few bags, so there’s loads of pics on there! ;)

Any feedback would be most appreciated. Many thanks!

Thank you for the quick reply! They posted more pictures after i asked them:

Can anyone help further investigate? Thanks so much!

the strip is hard to read, but it looks like BN143, the smaller size. The shape points towards the smaller Magic Bag.

probably need pics of the back side of the halogram tag and a full close up of the leather serial strip. it would help to get a pic of the gold fendi made in italy plate inside , and close up of the rivets on the one of the leather trimming .

JMHO..

I can't give an opinion on these 2 bags - these styles are highly faked & there is no hologram tag. The season indicated is 2003 and usually bags from that season had a hologram tag as well as leather strip, so these may or may not be real. Sorry I can't help you more.:smile1:

Thank you, baglady.1, for your candid response.

Still, I was wondering if accio sacculus had any aditional information?

Otherwise, would it be worth it to take them into a Fendi shop? I must admit I would be a bit embarassed to walk in there with these old 2 random bags and say, "hey, are these real?" :shame:

If anyone would know, it would be baglady.1  I agree with her 100%...IMO, the leather serial strip doesn't look right to me on either of your bags... :nogood:
