hi mysti9,

I've checked with the other Fendi authenticator on this board and we both agree that the bag is not an authentic Fendi bag. None of us have seen an authentic Fendi with that shiny gold lining, for a start. Vintage bags are a little harder for us to authenticate, but to us, that lining is a giveaway. Sorry! :shrugs:

Hello, I am the seller of this bag and am wondering why you think the bag is fake. I have gone through great lengths to show its authenticity to ebay buyers and am shocked to hear you think otherwise. Thank you.

Well, thank you for your honesty. The pictures may have made the lining seem like shiny gold, but it's really a brown/green color. I know for a fact that my mother (who bought the bag) only shops at retail stores, but in any case, I appreciate your response. Thanks again!

mysti9, while the lining was the giveaway, this is by no means the only reason why we think it's fake. Is it at all possible that your mother bought it from a retail boutique who thought they were selling authentic bags and so sold it to your mother as an authentic bag without knowing that it was fake themselves? :confused1:

accio, what about this spy?Authentic? It is scuffed and dirty but do you think there is a service to clean it and how much would it cost? I like the color.

Need to see clear, close-up pics of the hologram and leather serial strip to confirm...

It's supposed to be white, and this one has gone "yellowy" you can get it cleaned professionally, but it's usually quite expensive. I did some research on a leather restoration company here in Canada for a used Balenciaga Purse I was going to buy and it was going to cost me upwards of $100 CAD to get it fully restored. I don't know how much it costs in the USA. :shrugs:
