#1 - need serial #. On #2, it looks OK, just make sure the "vinyl" seller mentions is the coated fabric material on the body of bag. The redish brown trim & straps should be real leather, also the lining. I have a vintage bag with this form of serial # but it is all Nappa Leather....:p

Question: Do older fendi bags have serial numbers? the seller stated that the 1st bag due to its age does not come with a serial number so no pic.

I would say Yes, I own one that is such high quality & so unique & older that does not have a serial #. However, we cannot authenticate the bag for you in that case, so you are taking a big risk. It will also affect your ability to resell it on Ebay or similar venue w/out the #. Since the style of #1 is one where we usually see a serial #, you are at risk if you purchase the bag in many ways unfortunately. It is your call.

The vintage bag I mention here is made of Real Crocodile...& nappa leather...and it is undeniably authentic. On the coated canvas logo ones, there are many that have serial #, so I am not really sure.
