This is the response I got from the seller:
I have an old camera that won't get very close. The serial # stamped on the plate reads: 49-80-30 with the number 1925 stamped underneath it. Guaranteed authentic or money back.

Not sure what to do with that.

DS - I think it is probably real, but it would be nice to get a better pic of silver plate as Lit pointed out. this is a vintage piece but the selleria leather wears well and I like these back packs.

Hi ladies,

Can anyone tell me when Fendi started putting the hologram in the interior? Which models do they do it for? I got my first Fendi from a Fendi store in Rome (2003), and it does not have a hologram in the interior. I got my second Fendi in the states at Neiman's (2005) and it does not have a hologram either. I have not bought a Fendi since then (Grad School sucked my budget dry!). Both do have all the correct markings and the leather strips with the serials.

Thanks for the info ladies xoxo:smile1:

Thanks Baglady.1 for that. What do you think is a fair price for a 10-15 year old bag when you can't quite tell how used it is. There is a reserve on it so hard to know how much to bid and how much to cap it. Thanks

Your neimans' bag should have a hologram -- check again. If you want it authenticated, you'll need to post pictures here.
