Fakes have serial numbers too, that is why we asked to see the serial number...but if BL.1 has confirmed it fake, then it is indeed fake...the presence of the serial number does not make it authentic.
I wasn't denying BL1's evaluation, but I never provided all the information that was asked for. I also found several other identifiers on the bag that I hadn't noticed before and hadn't photographed (Fendi stamping on the sides of several pieces of hardware, as well as "made in Italy" on the backside of the metal buckles). I had the bag checked out with CarolDiva as well (with the additional information), and it was deemed authentic. It was entirely my fault for not providing all the information. Thank you for all your help. I still haven't decided whether or not to keep the bag...not even sure it is my style.

I still agree with BL.1 that the bag is fake (it was deemed fake with the information provided alone, nothing more was needed)...if you go back thru this thread, we have found a few bags that ended up being fake after being deemed authentic by CarolDiva...in the end it's still up to you whether you want to keep a fake or not :shrugs:

Dear authenticators, I recently picked up a couple of older fendi bags and would like the peace of mind of knowing their authenticity status, as well as any information you may provide. No rush, again, these bags are in my possession and I cannot return them. Just need to know if I should use them, or let my young girls use them for dress up! First bag is a good sized messenger, croc embossed handle and inner flap (some cracks to handle - is there a care and maintenance thread that may help prevent further damage?) tyia

And this is the other, smaller bag. Something has happened to te surface on the bottom, not sure if it can be repaired (of course, will not bother if fake!) If real and restorable, I may give this one to my niece for her sweet sixteen. Again, my thanks! I believe the last pic shows the bottom issue.

Can someone please tell me about this Fendi. Picked this up at a thrift shop. I've found many authentic bags there but I'm not sure about this one. Thank you.
