Im almost positive this one was purchased in 1986 from a Fendi store in Italy either in Trieste or Udine. I found the serial # on this one - hope its clear enough:

Hello,

I'm watching yet another vintage bag to add to my collection :-)
Can you please authenticate this Fendi handbag?

Item Name:Vintage FENDI Kelly Satchel
Item Number:330870755102
Seller ID:evansmissy
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Authentic-V...102?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item4d096f0f1e

Thank you THIS MUCH!
I'd like to see a serial # which may be imprinted on pocket lining or bag interior somewhere. Also I'd like a pic of the strap metal clips that attach it to the bag. - clear & close up. TY. :smile1:

Hi Ladies - Found two old Fendi bags while cleaning out the closets and am fairly certain of origins but not 100% since these go back to the 1980's. Would love an expert eye on them.

Im almost positive this one was purchased in 1984 from a Fendi store in Italy either in Milano, Trieste or Udine. I couldnt locate the serial # on the inside, although I read somewhere they may not have been using them at this time:

Thanks so much for your help!
don't see any read flags, but can't give opinion on this one w/out serial #. :smile1:

Hi Everyone,

I am interested in this bag on ebay and was wondering if you would help me authenticate. I am new to Fendi's so your help is greatly appreciated! Here is the link:

Thanks for your help!
These are difficult, because so many good fakes out there. I need a complete pic of hologram tag (they put thumb over the code). Also pic of underside of closure buckle/snap. Finally, what are the last 3 numbers on the serial # strip, I have 0__9 - need middle number. :smile1:

Hi baglady -
Thanks for your response on this one too.
I checked the bag again and am just not seeing a serial number. Can you tell me when Fendi began using them in their bags? I'm sure it was purchased at a Fendi store in Italy in the early/mid 80s, 1984 at the latest.
Thanks for your expertise!

Have no clue about that. I am no expert on vintage bags, bear in mind I own several but only started collecting in 2006. In many cases a bag may be vintage, but we cannot tell if real or not without serial # - like this one. In others, even without serial #, we know or suspect it is not real. I own 2 bags that are real Fendi that do not have serial #, but it is obvious to me they are real FENDI just by features. Sorry I cannot do more.:smile1:
