accio sacculus, the wallet is being sold by an online retail website, not a specific person, so i don't know how easy it would be to request additional pictures. but glad to hear that there are no red flags. thank you for your help.

Sorry, that's not what I'm looking for. The hologram is a fabric tag sewn into the lining of the bag with a hologram on it. The leather serial strip will either be on a leather strip sewn into the lining, or on the underside of the "Fendi" leather tab.... we need to see those in order to authenticate.

I bought this bag and when I received it, it really did not seem to be up to Fendi quality. I knew it didn't have a serial number, but it's supposed to be from the 1970s, when Fendi did not always have serials numbers. I contacted the seller and she said this about the bag (if it helps)

"hi - it's very vintage fendi. nothing you would have seen in stores since the mid 1970s. I have been in the vintage clothing business for 25 years. It's a very unique and small production item. No one was doing zipper pulls like that except Fendi. Please send it back and i will refund your prices paid and return shipping."

and then this

"There are identifying fendi marks on the inside - that is a Blloomingdales mid 70s commissioned bag by fendi No fake would ever have that zipper the buckle, the snap, the monogrammed white rubber material. Fendi bags were all over the place quality wise in the 60s, 70s and early 80s. I understand the bag does not suit your taste but it is authentic. Please return the bag. Thank you."

Then she sent a postage paid return UPS label so I could return it for a full refund plus she is offering to pay for the return shipping without being asked...hmmm...

I am not sure about this one, because I haven't seen some of these features before. I have owned vintage FENDI bags with EPI leather which looks a lot like the black parts of this bag (is it leather?) It is usually nicer/softer & more slinky than LV EPI Leather pieces. Is the interior lining made of leather or plastic/man made? Does it say anything under the zipper head (brand name)? Is the silver hardware blackening because it has real silver in it & tarnishing?
If you are unhappy with it, I would just take her up on the return....I am sure she believes it is real & it very well may be, but I am not that familiar with some features of the bag....:smile1:

Catgirl, the wallet is definitely not real & the Mama Bag is probably not real, but not 100% sure since I did not collect these older bags when they came out in older seasons. The problem is that the replica makers have gotten really good & use real leather, etc. to make their goods. The bags without hologram tag because they are older, are very difficult to authenticate as the market has been flooded with knockoffs (just google the word FENDI & the style & you will see). Even some legitimate retailers, like SAKS off 5th, have been caught selling these fakes. :nogood:

Wow! Really!!! Even legitimate retailers too?!!! I'm beginning to think everything is fake nowadays :/ I appreciate your insight. I did try to goggle this bag but I didn't know the exact name so I wasn't having much luck. I didn't know if that was because my bag indeed was fake or I just wasn't typing in the right keywords. I will try and do a search now. Thank you for the info!!! You are the best!!!

Hello! What a great forum :D I've been sneakily browsing all afternoon at work lol

I've been given a second hand Fendi B Bag today and although it feels authentic I have my suspicions that its just a good quality fake. The bag is heavy and stitching feels tight and even, it has the serial number inside and the Fendi tabs. The only thing that's missing is the hologram :( I didn't want to waste anyone's time. Am I right in thinking if its missing its a fake?
