Hi girls,
calling the attention of VINTAGE EXPERTS / LOVERS!!

I just bought my first ever vintage!! This 70's vintage dior from eBay. Could you PLEASE help me authenticate it. Does all vintage diors hav a serial number.. Coz this one don't! Please tell be I didn't throw $250 down the drain..
whatever little u know about vintage Dior's might help.

Could you please authenticate this item? I just purchased it and so the posting may not still be up. I'm having second thoughts about the purse bc I had asked the seller about showing pics of the serial # imprinted on the bag and he/she responded:

"to respond to your earlier e-mail
-authenticity card #0411396
-serial number is nowhere on the bag - I turned the lining inside out and there is no tag (unlike we see in CHANEL bags), maybe DIOR does not do tags inside.
I have other DIOR bags and the do NOT have the serial number inside the bag.
-there is also no "mad in " tag - its says Christian Dior Paris on the inside pocket
I'm not sure if you are concerned about authenticity hence all the extra questions.
I do not sell fakes, do not own fakes.
this is a great bag from my private collection."

not sure if another tPFer might be able to authenticate with the photos provided, but it is always advised that you should not purchase/bid on an item if you're not certain of its authenticity.

Ask the seller again to take a photo of the back of the white leather Dior tag on the interior pocket, the date code should be there and allows for a better authentication. The authenticity card means nothing because a lot of replica designer bag sellers can acquire these and sell them with bags
