I have concerns. The font on the creed and number doesn't match any authentic creeds I have from that plant. Every authentic version I can find of this style was made in Costa Rica, later than yours. The style was introduced for Holiday 1998 so a 1997 production date is possible but somewhat unlikely. All the Costa Rican bags I've seen were made in late 1998.I bought this Disco Bag a while ago and have just got it out again to rehab. There are a few things that seem off to me so I'd appreciate your views regarding authenticity.
I can't believe how shoddy the sides are. Also the snap has 'MAGNETIC' on it which I haven't seen before on a Coach bag.

I compared it to this one that is currently listed and it looks very similar in a lot of ways except for the points above.

The stamping on the snap doesn't match any authentic snaps I've seen. I have a picture of a fake snap in my files. I can't read the writing on it, but it appears to have writing in the same places as on yours. The authentic snaps I've seen from this time period, including one I own, have the words "USA PAT and others" along with a number and a symbol. You can see it in the next to last picture of this listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Coa...991?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item1e91bcee5f
The shape of the tabs for the strap look uneven and the stitching on them is very sloppy.
