Dimensions are 10.6" x 7" x 4" with 6" strap drop
Can someone tell me what bag this is? Serial # or name? I just know it's the Madison line. Is it authentic? I don't see a coach creed inside based on the pic. TIA
Unless it's one of the Mini Satchels that often come without a creed, that missing creed would raise serious questions. Bags that are 10x7 inches should have creeds.
I don't like the top zipper placement either - one end is just left wide open, and the other is at least an inch or two longer than it should be or needs to be - Coach almost NEVER extends the closed end of the zipper down like that. The inner part of the bases of the handles look sloppy and unfinished and the top zipper looks wavy, and it seems that most Coach tote styles have recessed top zippers. Also the lighter pink stitching holding the top of the lining to the leather is NOT Coach quality, the stitches look too long and the fabric is puckered. I'd also expect a Coach to have a ZIPPERED inside pocket plus two smaller ones on the opposite side for a phone and other accessories.
Wait for more opinions, but nothing in those pictures is saying "real" or even "Coach" to me. Cheap details, poor quality and workmanship.
Here is the listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-MADIS...149?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item2c89b0cbe5Is that bag listed somewhere? Is there a tag or label sewn into the lining showing where the bag was made?
I'm not liking what i see so unless there's more info, i wouldn't buy it.
I received this bag yesterday. My concern with this (BT, Cocoa?) brown legacy zip is the dash after the "no." in the serial number, and the slightly messy finish on ends of the zipper. Other than that, the bag is in excellent condition and the leather is out of this world amazing. Crossing my fingers that it is authentic.

Thank you so much!
Thank you Hyacinth! Now I can breathe a sigh of relief. I am already in love with this bag. The condition it is in far surpassed what the pictures show. The leather is in mint condition all over. There are NO "rules" with classic Coach leather bags about where that dash does and doesn't belong. The serial number is exactly right for that plant and year. The zipper placement IS sloppy but that sometimes happened on real bags - Coaches are not and have never been perfect. I don't see anything that would make me think it's fake.
Found one today at GW for a change. The cashier was none too happy when I told him I found it out on the floor. Let me know what you all think--is it real? (Sorry for the lack of dimensions, I recently moved and know I have a tape measure but not sure where.)

I don't have this bag but I've seen it IRL. I don't see any problems with it.
Hi,
Could someone please authenticate this for me? If you need additional pictures, just let me know.
Thanks!
You're welcome. I would be disappointed too. Coach made a gathered version for FP stores that doesn't look as bad. It's on FOS right now. It's called Madison gathered leather small bag. I've seen a few other FP bags with a top zipper like that. They almost always look wavy. Thanks, Whateve, I'm glad you were here to ID it. Apparently from the style number 45918M Coach has it classified as an Accessory rather than a full Handbag, and it may have been made for Macy's. "Madison Leather Small Satchel" is the name in the other listing.
(My own personal feeling is that I'd STILL be disappointed with the details if I bought it, but that's JMO.)

You know how a lot of fakes have the zipper end sticking out from the bag? To me, that was one of the telltale signs of a fake. I was shocked and dismayed when Coach actually made some totes last year with the zipper end sticking out.
