I don't have a good feeling about that one.

In the picture of the creed, the double row of stitching above the zipper looks sloppy. We'd need to see a closer pic, but the back of the turnlock on the front flap may have a problem. And most important, the font used in the serial number and the "No" in front of it isn't right for that year and plant.

We always recommend caution with any mid to late 1990s serial numbers starting with "J", a large number of them seem either questionable or outright fake.

The seller was way off on the date. The bag is a Beaumont Satchel and the first two digits "J8' mean it was made in September of 1998. Any Coach serial number that includes letters of the alphabet was made between 1994 and the present.

Absolutely correct, even the wallet is a Korean-made POS.
