I purchased 2 station bags a few months ago to match dresses for upcoming weddings this year and have since definitely been bitten by the vintage Coach rehab bug! I rode horses and cared for their tack for many years and have forgotten how oddly soothing it is to restore quality leather :P

Very excited to be a part of this community and learn all I can about these amazing bags!

I agree with Whateve. The serial number font isn't the same as the other 1998 ones from the B plant in my photo file. There's only one probably genuine 1999 B plant serial number photo in my files that's only a month apart from the date code in yours and it doesn't match, I've posted a picture. The "No" and the shapes of the 9s are different.

Along with wanting to see a picture of the entire inside pocket showing the zipper and the edges of the pocket, I'd also like to know if there's anything stamped on the back of the strap buckles? It might just be a reflection from the lights but the first picture in the auction listing looks like the buckle in the top right corner of the photo has some kind of stamp on it.

Are you the winner of that auction?

Oddly, the seller has relisted the bag and the new listing looks like a brown bag but is described as blue. Although I can't read the creed in the second listing (with horrid pics), the spacing of the serial number appears that it's the same bag. (I wonder if the seller isn't following through on the sale because she's unhappy with the final price. If so, she's not allowed to do that.)

It's fake. We've seen that invalid serial number before.

It looks more like a Royalton, style 4403. The seller needs to re-measure the length, it should be 11 inches.

The seller needs to clarify more than just the length, apparently, I just saw BB's post:
