Another yard sale find I was hoping to authentic, thanks in advance!
It has two hang tags? I am not sure if there was supposed to be those originally? any help is appreciated.

The brass hangtag is fake. I'm not sure if the strap is original either.

We REALLY need measurements to ID older bags and we usually need to ID them before we can authenticate them.

height is 6" from crescent center width is 2.75"
top length at longer part is 9.5" and bottom length is approx 8"
many thanks!
It's a small swinger from the Lightweights collection, probably from the early 90s. It came with that kind of strap. I've gotten a few vintage bags with those fake brass tags. I wonder why there are so many of those.

I don't know but it looks terrible! That's what threw me, how strange!
Thank you for your time!!

In measuring again I think that's right, I think I pulled the flap down to much, if that makes sense. 9" looks correct. Thank you so much! These older ones are hard for me, I appreciate your time!

Is it still considered that "classic pouch 9170" even though the inside style number is 7112?
You're welcome! On any bag that has an all numeric serial number, the last four digits aren't a style number. Coach didn't start putting style numbers in their bags until 1994, so any bag made before then has a unique serial number that has no relation to the style. Read the Salearea guides for more information: http://www.ebay.com/gds/Coach-Serial-Numbers-the-Basic-Facts-/10000000034886433/g.html

According to some sources, the classic pouch was Coach's very first style.
