It is not a Coach bag but I figured that it doesn't hurt to ask an opinion as ladies here know a lot. :smile1: I found this Bonnie Cashin for Meyers bag today and noticed that there are some numbers inside on the leather. I haven't seen anything like this before and the only explanation I could think out is that maybe there was a stamp on a leather before the bag was made and someone was just sloppy. What do you think?

Thank you for you attention!

The inside of hides were stamped by the suppliers, especially the Italians, and sometimes would end up inside the bags.

Hi! I'm a newbie and I have a burning question.

Is it normal for Coach to 'mistag' their items? For instance, putting a SV/PH on a Large Sophia Gathered (Gray-F16264)? You see, what baffles me is the tag says Mad Gth Lg Sophia 2, Sil/Factory MFSRP 598.

By the way, no Coach logo or address on the back of the tag. Red flag? The purse is so pretty that I am somewhat able to live with the fact that I am probably being conned. Will sharhe more information if I am in the right forum. Thanks.

It's possible that an authentic item was mistagged and it's also possible that the item is fake. But without pictures, we can't offer any advice.

Please post pictures of the bag (front, back, bottom), the creed, the plaque and the tag. If more pictures are needed, we can ask for them.

Item: 9944, Taylor zip
Listing: 251274830631
Seller: botticelli4grace
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/AUTHENTIC-C...SA-/251274830631?ssPageName=ADME:L:OU:US:3160

Comment: I felt comfortable enough to buy these, but please let me know if you see any problems. I can take more pictures if needed. Thanks for your time!

Buyer's should be careful when purchasing from botticelli4grace. Although there have been past authentication requests for her items and they were deemed to have seemed okay, a recent buyer came to the ebay purse board after having listings removed or having received messages from members that some of her items were fake.

It turns out that she purchased a large lot from botticelli4grace and unbeknownst to the buyer, there were many fakes.

Because the buyer had already resold some of the bags, the seller refused to issue a refund or take a return.

ETA - I wanted to add that the seller told her buyer that as long as there's ONE authentic item in the lot, the listing is legal. That can't be more wrong.

In listings that were previously authenticated, the seller showed pictures that were adequate for authentication purposes, however in this listing, laden with a mix of fakes and genuine items, there aren't enough pictures for buyers to know what they're getting although I see at least 3 fakes without too much scrutiny. I believe this seller knew what she was selling.

And I'd like to add there are several even more disturbing issues about the fakes sold in a large lot by botticelli4grace -

Anyone who's experienced with selling Coaches should have spotted the red flags on the fakes IMMEDIATELY. All four of the "Coaches" with Signature C fabric show that the C pattern isn't correctly centered, and on one of them the pattern itself is lopsided, with one side being higher than the other. One Coach actually proved to be genuine but at least 4 and possibly 5 were fakes that could have been spotted easily by any seller who claimed to be a Coach expert.

The buyer who got stuck with the fake bags said that the seller botticelli4grace tried to claim that as long as one of the Coaches was genuine, the listing was legal. In the buyer's own words:
"What bothers me is that she says she only has to sell me one authentic Coach in the lot (which she did) .. the rest fall under "other bags." That's quite a play on words and in my opinion, deceiving the public. I just can't believe this is acceptable..."

So the seller basically admits that almost all the "Coaches" were fakes AND that she knew it, and that it's ok to sell half a dozen counterfeit Coaches as long as at least one is genuine.

I think the US giovernment might dispute that point. But meanwhile we have a seller who knowingly sells fakes, knowingly misleads buyers, and refuses to make things right.

I'm going to recommend based on my own opinions and what I've read AND seen that buyers AVOID BUYING from botticelli4grace under ANY circumstances. Anyone who deliberately and knowingly tries to dump illegal counterfeits on a buyer doesn't deserve ANYONE'S business.

Hi! Me again. So sorry to be a bother, but I've started a cute little collection of the framed coin purses, and I notice some of them have little Coach tags with a bump in the frame to latch onto, and others don't?

Like in this listing here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Coach-D...2-/280914042834?pt=Wallet&hash=item4167c81fd2
The little metal loop is to attach a hangtag. Some styles have hangtags and some of them don't. On some of the smaller coin purses, the metal loop attaches to a keychain.

Could someone please authenticate this Coach bag?
