Also silver hardware in 1996? No, nope and no way. Silver or nickle-colored hardware wasn't used on Classic styles until mid-1998. Plus very badly installed inside pocket zipper - the ends really are bad and not even finished off and the zipper is much too low - creed stamp also much too low on the pocket, and the stitching all over the bag looks uneven but that's hard to be sure of just from photos.

I have this bag. Some people have had problems with the gathers opening up like that. Mine doesn't look like that. I don't see any problems with it other than the faint creed, which might happen if it got wet.

Thanks so much whateve, what a relief! Everything I pulled up to compare it to has a nice smooth bottom so I was really worried I'd gotten a lemon.

They are later models. It is possible that Coach changed the shape of the panel slightly over the years. Don't assume that a bag is authentic just because of the price.

Could someone please authenticate this for me? Creed is 0687-918.
It's brown leather and measures 10 1/4" across, 8" high and is 4" wide.
Please let me know if you need anything else. Thanks.
