Hi All, I came across 2 vintage coach bags which I'm interested in. However I don't have a lot of images of the bags. Are these sufficient to verify if they are authentic items,0? Thanks!

Vintage Madison:

Vintage Willis:

The first one isn't a Madison. It's a Beaumont Satchel. It looks authentic. It was made in 1999. The parts of the Willis I can see in the pictures look good but I can't authenticate without a creed picture. I don't know when it was made without seeing the creed.

OK, found it.

The "saddle Bag" in that listing is fake. The "J" month code always needs careful authenticating but the big problems on this one are the colors of the bag itself and of the hardware. The leather color looks more like Camel than British Tan and Camel wasn't introduced until around 1999. From what I've found in the catalogs, the silver/nickle hardware wasn't made until Spring 1997 and then ONLY for a few Soho bags (style numbers starting with -40** or -41**. That hardware wasn't available on the "classic" styles until early-mid 1998 although some specific new lines like Neo and some of the briefcases may have had it a few months earlier. And going back to bag colors, silver hardware was usually matched with Camel, almost never with British Tan. And the date code is too early for it to be Camel.

The style itself, 9988, wasn't introduced until Spring 1997 so although the date is possible for a bag with a September 1996 year and month code, it's unlikely. Add that and all the other date discrepancies to the always-suspect J6D- prefix and they all point to the bag being almost certainly fake.

Go back to post # 5426 where I posted two examples, real and fake, of other J6D- creeds.

The top one with the outlet stamp is what a genuine serial number font with that prefix should look like - see how the tops and bottoms of most of the digits are "squared off" or flattened. The second one is from an absolutely certain fake bag and had exactly the same font in the serial number as the Saddle Bag you asked about. You may want to save those photos somewhere to use for comparison when looking at other bags with that same serial prefix.

Item: Pair of Brand New Coach keychains (fruit mix and blue mix)
Item number: 221277196536
Seller: great-quality-4-less
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/A-PAIR-of-B...pt=US_Women_s_Accessories&hash=item33852610f8

Comments: I was fairly certain the fruit mix was authentic but wasn't sure about the second one. Seller also sold another set of fobs earlier that I also don't know about but also has very few feedback scores. I'm just horrible at keychains so I greatly appreciate you all here! I learned my lesson awhile ago when a got a fake one and didn't authentic it until afterward. Thanks in advance!

Seller great-quality-4-less MIXES REAL AND FAKE. Do NOT buy from them! The fact that every set of keychains is a "mix" of real and fake except for one which has all fakes tells me that the seller knows exactly what they're doing!

Let me report those pieces of cwap and I'll be back to post more. They have fakes in both Current and Completed listings

Here are the recent fake listings: 221277196536,221276230530,221277189945,221276067969,221277193670

Thank you! I hate to outright accuse someone before I know for sure but I was suspicious from the start because I don't remember ever seeing the blue one before. I really don't like people like this. Anyway, thanks and off to report.

This keychain listing ended with no bids - but can I get an opinion?

Authentic Coach Scottie Dog Charm Keychain Brand New
Item: 171119970408
Seller: mei3188
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Authentic-Coach-Scottie-Dog-Charm-Keychain-Brand-New-/171119970408

TIA!

The Scottie looks ok. There was an MFF style that was in one of the FOS's within the last few months and the original #92324 that may have been a Japan exclusive. The one in the listing is the MFF.
I don't think 92324 was a Japan exclusive because I bought it here. But when 92324 was out, they called it a westie (not scottie). When they brought it back with a factory style number, they changed the style number to 62936 and breed of dog and called the westie a scottie.

I'm not sure I see a difference between 92324 and 62936 but the difference between a westie and a scottie is obvious!

ETA: Hyacinth, how can you tell the one in the listing is 62936?
