Hi everyone! I am interested in bidding on a poorly listed, what looks like a stewardess bag. I cannot read the photo of the creed so the seller sent me another, not a great pic though.- I cannot seem to download it to upload it here if that makes any sense.... She told me it says "This is a coach bag. It was handcrafted in the united states of completely natural glove-tanned cowhide. The variations in the grain are characteristics of natural full grain leather. No: S5B-9525".That is what it looks like in the pic. My question is there a chance there would have been an "S" month code? Ever? I reread the Salarea guide and it looks like the answer is a No, but wanted to check here. thanks!

Without photos or a link to the auction there's nothing we can do. You can't even be sure the seller copied the number correctly. And no, there's NO chance that a genuine bag would start with an S.

there is the link - no one bought it fortunately....Could use some advice...Shall I message the seller with a link to this forum and ask her not to relist the bag? Or report it? I like to give the seller the benefit of the doubt if possible. tX!
Yes it is fake. I've seen that same fake creed before. If you report it, it might not be removed since you can't see the creed in the listing. Some sellers aren't very friendly when you tell them they have a fake.

Well, since Ebay seems to stink at removing a listing when there IS a creed photo, I will tell the seller and go from there...thanks as always ladies!!!

A LOT of us have reported that cheap fake. Coach is doing an INCREDIBLY lousy job lately with removing fakes.

I tlooked familiar to me...I think I reported it last month or so..

(You know I meant Ebay, right?) :D I must have sent my brain off on a three-day vacation.

Thanks for the kick, BB! Blame it on the Leinenkugel. Well, I have to test it before using it to simmer the brats, right? :giggles:

Yep, it looks fake to me too. And that extra border around the entire serial number doesn't belong there.

The problem is that if the seller isn't completely honest she'll just relist it without showing the creed photo. (Ooops, never mind. Crossing fingers and hoping for honest seller.)

Yes, although they correctly identify one bag as a Station Bag farther down in the listing.

(Hang on, editing on the fly here...) Sorry, I looked at the wrong set of measurements. It IS an Escort Bag, but the style number is 4016. I was confusing it with the Tailored Pouch in the second photo which is smaller and doesn't have the gusseted front pocket.

Thank you, Hyacinth - and Whateve -

I really appreciate the input from both of you!
