Comments:
It certainly looks old to me, and I like the patina, but I'm thrown off by the magnetic snap. Would this type of bag have a magnetic snap?

Thank you!

It's a Chelsea Bag style 9894 from no earlier than Summer 1991 since that's when it was officially introduced. The seller is either badly mistaken or just plain lying whan she implies in the listing that it's from the 1970s.

Magnetic snaps were used at least as early as the later 1980s on some bags in the Lightweight line so I don't see a problem with the snap.

Of course as soon as I post all that,
I look at my new wallet which I just bought at the FP Coach store - so as always Coach is consistent in its inconsistency - but I think those are good rules of thumb regardless for older bags.

Also just to be clear, those older bags have other mistakes it isn't just the zippers. View attachment 2193221

That's what makes trying to authenticate them such a challenge. Just when you think you have something figured out, they throw you a curve ball! :D

Hello ladies! I hope you are doing well! Found this on ebay and was wondering if you have ever seen it before.

Comments: older fob? Fake? Thanks!

It looks like style #92839. I don't know what the back is supposed to look like.
I've never seen it but I don't see any problems.

I believe it's a 2010 style.

Thanks Whateve, Netlawyer and Hyacinth! I am going to contact the seller and refer her to these posts and get a refund.
as a followup the seller thanked me for the forum link and was very understanding. She is issuing me a full refund. it was her friend's mother's bag and she has no idea it was a fake. I will destroy it.

Good seller. And she's a smart one too. Rather than waste both your and her time and money to ship the fake back, destroying it is the best thing. That way, you know it'll be permanently out of circulation.

Here's a Sheridan Monticello? a Court looking bag that once upon a time I'd have thought "FAKE" but your authentification of my Glenwood made me realize this might be good even with a bizarre creed patch, turnlock, etc. There is also a slip pocket on the very back of the bag too.
The dimensions are about 10.5 " at widest, 9"H x 5" D with strap of 22+ inches
The Creed says 5AM-4226 (weird)

That looks identical to mine (British tan) that was bought directly from Coach... if anyone needs comparison pics.
