Another one that I couldn't pass up.. I know less than nothing about newer Coach, so I tend to avoid it -- but the color, style & apparent quality (& ridiculously low price) of this one made me think I should grab it and start learning!

In my possession, from a tag sale
Style: Don't know?
Color: Robins egg blue, leather, antiqued brass hardware, light color plaid signature lining.
Approx Size: 11-12" h x 13" w (top) 9" w bottom x 5" deep
Creed details: "Handcrafted in China..." #L0769-11422
Comments: Bag, strap & keeper were being cleaned off when I shot photos, so color may appear darker / uneven in areaa from dampness.

Thanks in advance for your help auth-ing and identifying!
:)

Looks good to me! I like the color. Sam

Can someone please authenticate this Coach Leatherware bag...the 2nd of my 50% off finds...

Is this a pre-1994 City Bag #9790?
Approx. 11"w x 8"h x 4"d Strap drop 23"
It's a really lovely dark green - my first green bag.
Any idea of birthday?
Thanks, again!
It looks authentic but I have never seen one with the shoulder protector. It was made between 1988 and 1994. I can't narrow it down more than that. The color was called Forest Green.

Oh it was a HAPPY, HAPPY 4th of July 50% OFF sale at Goodwill yesterday!
Here is the first of my three bags for authentication...

Is this a pre-1994 Coach Leatherware Stewardess #9525?
Approx. 11"w x 10"h x 4.5"d Strap drop 15"
Does anyone know a closer birthday?
As always, thanks in advance!
Looks authentic. Just like the city bag, I can't narrow the date down more than between 1988 and 1994. This one has the older format but it is possible Coach was using both formats simultaneously in different plants.

Could you please be so kind as to authenticate this bag?

Item Name Coach Willis in Red
Link (if available): Not Applicable. Thrift Store Find. :-)
Creed Details - Please see attached photos
Comments: Dowel seems shorter than my authentic Mahogany Willis, but everything else looks pretty good to me. Your expert evaluation is very much appreciated!

Thank you so much!

Other than the dowel length, everything else seems good. The difference in the dowel is probably within what Coach probably considered a reasonable variation.

CORRECT Creed Patch photos for the Willis attached.
I don't believe it is authentic. Coach didn't offer nickel hardware until 1997. They didn't start using shiny silver hardware, which this looks like, until much later. The creed font looks too thick, and at that time, the "Made in the United States" would have been at the bottom of the creed rather than incorporated into the body of the creed like in this one. There are a few other details that don't look authentic.

So jealous! It is an authentic Copley and the color is Beechnut.

Not too shabby for $7.50, huh? I couldn't believe my luck!

I'm sure the shoulder thingy was an add-on, a much different color of green...also $7.50.

I'll have some serious rehabbing on this one, but for $5.00, who cares?
Thanks so much for your time and additional info!

I agree. Here are two other C plant creeds, from September and December of 1994. The C plant was still using the old format creed with the "Made in the United States" at the bottom until at least some time in early 1995. The serial font in yours isn't quite the same either.

You're welcome! Now I'm even more jealous now that I know how much you paid for these! Why can't I find deals like this?

Thanks so much! I just wasn't sure - really appreciate the knowledge! The strap hardware on the dowel looked weird to me - a little bloated - I ignored my instinct because darnit I wanted a Willis with silver. Back it goes...
