Last week I didn't even recognize this style of zip pouch as a cosmetic case but yesterday I found its tan sister at the Savers for $0.70! It looks the same to me so I think it is authenitic but I always appreciate your opinion (because as you know, I have been fooled by fakes in the past!)

Comments: It has that blue and white striped “mattress ticking” lining; I can’t remember what line that came from? Please give an opinion on authenticity, thank you.

There weren't really any "lines" back then except for maybe the Lightweights, and I doubt if this came from that line. It's just some kind or size of cosmetic case, probably late 1980s.

I love that style of make up bag. it's just like the one that was blown into my yard from the tornado. It survived the tornado and the soaking wet rain so it's a tough little Coach item. I never did find her owner, either.

Comments: I have a small, black hippie flap but this is the first large one I have seen. Please give an opinion on authenticity, thank you.

BTW, I came across this photo of the bag that had been previously posted by Hyacinth; do you know the name and style number of the red bag in the picture? It’s fabulous!

I found an auction for my brown large hippie flap on ebay and it claims that the original retail price was $248, does that sound correct?

First one is real. Factory Ashley line, convertible satchel. I believe the print is called snaphead.
Second one is fake.

Very fake, Coach never made anything like that, and never used 2-piece rectangular "gift boxes" for keychains.
