I'd have to agree. Such a small accessory would almost never have a creed, and the creed in this one is a mess. The border around the creed statement is almost on the edge of the patch itself, and the cutting and stitching are pretty bad too.
Because it's a Pilot bag, it's really impossible to authenticate. But there are a few others on Ebay including several from sellers with excellent records, so the odds are that it's genuine.
Thanks for clearing it up for me. I won't tell her but I will use it sparingly, lol. Thanks again.

The bag might be OK. (It has a random serial number that indicates a bag made Pre-1994).
I have 2 questions that I would ask the seller:
1) What product was used to polish that bag? You do not want a bag that has shoe polished or dyed.
2) What's wrong with the strap shown in the last picture (enlarge it)? It appears that the leather is cracked on both sides of the strap - and that is not normal - AND it's not mentioned in the description.

I agree completely. That strap is a piece of junk - good luck finding another one.
And the photo of the bottom of the bag looks like someone spread tar all over it. Don't even waste your money on that one.
