I know it is difficult to authenticate small items but best guess is much appreciated. Thank you.

It's probably ok but it's hard to be sure.

It looks good to me also. Hyacinth, I hope I'm not stepping on your toes chiming in once in a while. I only help out if I'm 100% sure. I usually lurk and learn in this thread.:smile1:

Hi! I want to check with you on the authenticity of this Court bag.

That's a bag I can't say for sure is authentic, sorry. Not only is the depth of the serial number stamp very unusual, but the prefix of the serial number is showing a plant code that doesn't match with the location shown in the creed itself. I'd have to call it questionable.

ETA - Also, maybe it's the angle and how you're positioning the bag but the one in your photos looks almost square. The Court Bag is definitely more rectangular than your photos are showing. I'm wondering if yours measures the same as what Coach shows in their 1995 catalog, below. They show measurements of 9 1/4 inches horizontally across the front and 7 1/2 inches vertically.

MarneeB, I'm VERY happy to have your help! I don't have much experience with or many photo files of newer items from after about 2006 when Coach went to 5-number style numbers, so any advice from someone who's more familiar with those styles is a HUGE help. Thanks for the assistance! :flowers:

You're welcome! It's really only the newer ones I know about. The older (or vintage) bags I'm at a total loss! I'm happy to help, but will only give my 2 cents if I'm sure.:smile1:

It does measure the same. I think my photo angle may be off. I was trying not to get a shadow on it. :) I didn't know if the strap was supposed to have a buckle to adjust the length. Thanks so much for your help!

I found this bag on Craigslist, and this seller is not very accommodating. She sent me a picture of the creed, but it's blurry. I don't know if it will be very useful, but I wanted to see if you've seen a bag like this before. The hangtag looks a lot like those Italian made bags (and looks like the creed does say Italy too), and I don't know why, but I just really like the style!

She won't let me go over there and take pictures of the bag either.

1- The first is genuine. Not a Sheffield since that style doesn't have a drawstring. Unfortunately there are several Drawstring styles that are almost identical but none match the measurements you listed so I can't identify it.

2- genuine

3- probably genuine and some styles had both hardware colors available

4- genuine, probably a Soft Satchel style 4055

5- genuine Colebrook Case

Unknown nylon and leather travel duffle

Item number: n/a

Seller: individual on craigslist

Notes: I am going to pick this up tonight, and I am pretty sure it's authentic, but I can't find any info on the style number. The man said his wife used to work for Coach.

Thanks!
