Is this bag below authentic? I tried to do a search on the serial number in the picture but 4922 came up as a sling and this looked more like 4921. (http://reviews.ebay.com/Coach-Natural-Grain-Leather-Sling-4922_W0QQugidZ10000000004564098). Are these ebay guides any help or do they add to the confusion. I have bought a few older coach bags of late and will probably find out some are not authentic.
Cheers :-)

I believe that bag was authenticated a few days ago. The same seller had 2 of the same style and both had major "creed" problems.

That creed IS a mess but the bag itself looks genuine for a "Sonoma Satchel". I owned that same style for many years and see nothing wrong with that one.

:smile1:

I just wanted to mention, remember the bidder 2****c that we saw was bidding on 5 of this sellers items? Now it is 8 items all from this seller, and not a single other seller. If you were the high bidder in that auction you might want to investigate further.

The lining on the back looks weird so I am thinking fake?

I don't see any problems. Ideally, there should have been more pictures but what I see appears to be okay.

What do you think is wrong with the lining?

The C's don't line up in the back, which was my only red flag. I was almost sure it was real but that kept nagging in the back of my mind.

Thanks!
You'd said you thought there was a problem with the LINING in your post so that had me confused.

On the back left where the pattern isn't perfectly matched, I don't believe that's a problem. The mismatch is on a seam and sometimes, depending on the cut, pattern and pattern size, it's impossible for a perfect pattern match on every seam.

Often side seams and bottoms demonstrate mismatches and in this case, the seams are off to the sides of the back of the bag. The pattern is properly centered and other details look okay.

Also, check out this listing: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330605595781

It has another seller, o****1, bidding on 6 items from this seller, 100% bid history with this seller.

Update: found another, 3****b, 0% feedback and 100% activity with this seller, 5 items bid on. This is all much too coincidental, don't you guys think?

Buyers shouldn't do business with relytinc.

There is no doubt that o***1, 2***c
s.gif
and 3***b
s.gif
are all shills.

I also suspect another ID with 92% bidding on this seller's items but without further evidence, I shall hold off posting it.

Looks like 3****b also. EDIT: you guys are too fast! Already mentioned and I can't delete!

Thank you all for letting me know. The white/cream bag went for quite a bit less than the other one in a different colour. As I am in Australia I was pleased that the seller had offered an international postage price as many don't want to ship overseas. It is disappointing that people are willing to shill though. If they are not happy listing at a low price then I don't know why they wouldn't list at a price they are happy to accept instead of wrongly manipulating the system.

Also is this one authentic? I already own it but would like to know (apologies if it has been answered but did not find a post):

I'm new here and I've been looking for a used Willis bag in great condition, and I think I've (hopefully) found it. I know you wonderful people will be able to let me know if I've found the real deal.
(I searched and didn't see that anyone else had posted this.)

Welcome!

It's NOT a Willis. The "style" of that bag is a Station Bag - but, we need a photo of the "creed" that is readable in order to determine if it's authentic.
