Regarding "partial Cs," that's not even a sometimes-rule. There will always be Cs that are cut off at seams.

Good to know that is not even a sometimes rule haha! I just received a coach bag in the mail from the coach factory online sale and saw the partial c's and got a bit worried. I wasn't too worried because I know where I ordered it from lol...

Can anyone authenticate this wallet for me please? The thing that makes me wonder is because I have tried looking up the model and I see the back of the wallet has a zipper but mine is a pocket. And I look at the canvas and feel like it looks dark or weird, I don't know... It's hard to explain what I'm seeing and it isn't translating in the photo. Maybe it's fine, doesn't hurt to ask?!
I recently bought it on eBay.
It came with a tag but not attached, says model 6K10 BKHO5 and HMP SIG SLM ENV

Please post a link to the listing. (See post #1 for the information we request.)

Also, please post a picture of the tag and any paperwork that was included with the wallet.

Although there's no authentication yet, there is a reason why there's a difference between your comparisons. This wallet is a slim envelope wallet and does have an open pocket on the back. I believe you're comparing it to the similar style of checkbook wallet, a different style which does have a zippered coin pocket on the back.

I thought there should have been a strap /zipper pull on the first bag . Hmm, I imagine that would be hard to replace....
I am also wondering why the serial number strip
on the first bag appears to have aged less , or better. It doesn't seem as faded as the rest of the bag. I've noticed it on other bags of the same era that have been authenticated.

You can get replacement straps for some Coaches from Ebay/Bonanza seller "silver-coach".

No, it's not possible to tell if any Coach is genuine just from the serial number. That number doesn't raise any red flags, but without actually seeing the creed we really can't be sure. The rest of the bag looks ok though. If it's genuine it would have been made in Hungary in 1999.

If you want to bid and then take a photo of the creed and serial number if you win the bag, that's not a problem.
