Comment: I love this bag just need to know if it's real before I buy it. Also got a store receipt from Bloomingdales , old orchard, Skokie, IL. But when I checked on the Internet this particular bloomingdales doesn't sell coach?? So I'm not sure at all and would appreciate some help Julie :)
To help the ladies here authenticate, you should ask for more pictures, including the creed inside the purse. The second photo in this listing is a stock photo. The other thing to be wary of is that the seller is new and unknown. That doesn't necessarily mean it isn't authentic. It is possible that the Bloomingdales accepted a return that was originally bought at another store, and that is why they had a Coach.

Where did you get it?

It's someone selling it on Facebook, says it was a gift and they were "told" it was real but they don't really know...

That sounds like THREE really good reasons to pass on this "deal".

Bloomingdales is an authorized Coach retailer although not all Bloomies have Coach though they accept returns that were purchased at others of their stores so that's not necessarily a red flags.

However, this listing nor her others don't have enough pictures. And with so many different backgrounds in the few pictures that aren't stock photos, I'm not even sure whether the pictures are the actual item.

Please request more pictures of the front, back, inside, creed and a clear straight on pic of the horse and carriage plaque.

Comment: this is another person selling the same bag. I thought maybe because there is tissue paper on the hardware that it is a fake? If this one is easier to authenticate I will buy this one?
This listing shows an authentic bag. Coach items sometimes come with foam padding protecting the hardware so that's not a red flag in this case.

Personally, I feel much more comfortable recommending a listing from a seller who uses her own pictures and shows many views of the actual item.

I saw a really cute coach purse today for $30, but I wanted to authenticate it first! Thanks in advance for all your help! I really hope it's real, because it's really cute!

I don't recommend buying from Linda*s***stuff. Because of the characters in her ID her name probably isn't searchable here, but she and her horde of assistants don't know or care about authenticating what they sell - she's sold plenty of fake Coaches already.

You posted the wrong link to her auction, but style number 99999 was often used by Coach for sample and pre-production styles. We sometimes don't recommend buying them but we don't want to see them reported as fakes either. The one in the photo is probably genuine but there's no way to verify it.

This style apparently made it into production:

I thought you might be interested in the response I got from Linda's Stuff:

Hi!

Thanks so much for your interest. Unfortunately, as we run on consignment, the previous owner did not provide us with that information, and I am not familiar with COACH style codes. We do, however, guarantee authenticity or your money back. I apologize I could not be more help!

Hugs,
Stacy

You would think that after all this time they would take a minute to learn a thing or two.

In the link to the production item you found, the seller says this:

Most of Coach handbag's designs either have floral or bow detailing and comes in satin or patent leather. That said, this coach chelsea suede hobo bag then shows uniqueness among his other creations in terms of materials used and thus, freshness from the usual.

:wtf:
