The bag looks fine. There will ALWAYS be an overlap on leather piping on those vintage bags. It's simply the only way a bag can be made.

Wait for other opinions but I believe the bag is a good one.

The Barclay Brief looks fine.


You do want to ask on bags like this, if the bag has dye or polish on it. I have bought a few that have had a British Tan polish rubbed on them (I do not believe that is the case here - it looks fine - but I have been taken before).

People buy stuff like this and then they never use them. Or they get them as gifts and put them away.

It looks ok to me too.

If it eases your mind, I've NEVER seen a older or vintage Coach show any problems where those strips of leather overlap.

First looks ok but if you win, check it carefully for any dye or worse, shoe polish. Finding a pristine light-colored or white bag is unusual. And please notice the seller says they don't have the shoulder strap.

The second one is genuine but the seller's Feedback is a bit shaky, and the legitimate comments seem to be mostly about the items' condition being worse that described, and there's a chance the bag may be dirtier than described, and finding a place that does a good job cleaning leather bags is getting harder and harder . The seller says in the listing "[FONT=Arial, Times New Roman, Verdana]however needs slight cleaning (please review all pictures)"

I am pretty sure this is fake, but I wanted to make sure before I reported it. I asked for the photo of the patch but it is too blurry to be of use. The seller said the lining is like cotton and it should be silky. The colors seem off. It doesn't look like authentic legacy lining to me.
