It's hard to determine whether it's authentic based on just the two pictures shown but if authentic, it's style 12317, patchwork signature satchel.

The problem with Craigslist listings is that sellers often "borrow" pictures from other sources so what you see may not be what you'll get.

If you can request additional pictures, ask for a picture of the creed, the interior lining, the bottom and the side.

Sorry if this double posted.. I couldn't find my original. Thanks!

Personally, I would not buy from this seller. There is a seller using multiple IDs who has been trying to sell these bags over and over. I was following one of the IDs that "bought" an XL Lily from another ID and immediately afterward, the seller made all of his feedback private. Later on, the XL Lily showed up on ebay under a different ID. There's something fishy going on here.

More discussion here:

What are the other IDs that this seller uses?

On the Gigi:

rusty3748, and another. I can't remember if it's the current seller id or an third one. I think it's the current ID. They had a bunch of Gigis and Lilys, etc listed several times over. When I asked when first listed under the rusty ID I got an alert from ebay.

See how old that feedback for the current seller is? And Rusty's FB is private and his stars are sucky.

Yes, rusty3748 is one of the IDs. He tried to sell a Whiskey XL Lily for Best Offer in an auction that ended on 9/30/09, I think without a buyer. Then rusty3748 bought a Whiskey XL Lily from 17dawne for $2000 on 10/10/09, which was discussed in this thread:
http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-shopping/omg-516610.html

After buying the Lily, rusty3748 made his feedback private. Below are some screenshots of his feedback taken before it was made private. It appears to be a scam where the seller asks buyers to pay outside of ebay.

The XL Lily and Gigis were then relisted under a different ID - I saw the auctions discussed in the Deals chat thread, but unfortunately was not able to catch the subsequent IDs since the auctions were pulled.

I believe sunset1053 is rusty3748.

Thank you.

it looks authentic to me, the creed is fine. I have a similar in red & the sytle is called ergo.

Did you read my answer?

Unless your Ergo is exactly the same style AND the same style number, the bags can't be compared. And the material of that bag is NOT glove-tanned cowhide. Read the creed.

"Looking like" or being "similar" to another bag is NOT proof of authenticity and should NEVER be used or taken as proof.

I need the people experienced with older bags to take a look. Here's the original post:

Thanks, Hyacinth. It's definitely not a leather or suede. It really looks and feels like a velvet, but maybe is some other man-made fiber? The handle and trim, though is what you describe as the Glove Tanned Cowhide. I'm sorry my pictures aren't better. I'll wait to do anything before you and others chime back. Thanks!

The creed description always refers to the dominant material of the bag. A bag having leather handles on a fabric body would never have a creed that said the BAG was made of glove-tanned cowhide.

Please wait for the more experienced posters to reply, but either the bag is counterfeit or someone made a serious mistake in the creed patch. And anyone who understands Coach creeds is going to question the authenticity of a fabric bag that the creed states is made of cowhide leather even if the bag is genuine.

One other problem is the construction of the bag itself. I don't know if Coach never made that style bag in any kind of velvet fabric, only leather or suede and one satchel style in satin, which this may be related to.. If the bag had been any kind of man-made fiber Coach would have used one of the very specific creed stamps that were designed especially for their fabric bags. Even if the main part of the bag was suede or nubuc there would have been a special creed stamp or patch saying so. Again, it MAY be genuine but I can't verify the style number, and although there's something on the creed patch that points to it being genuine, the incorrect creed might create problems when you sell it. We've seen a handful of incorrect creeds on what seem to be genuine bags and this may be one of them.

I'll take a look through my catalogs tomorrow and see if I can find that style anywhere.
