Item: 1994 Legacy Zip (brown leather)
http://s558.photobucket.com/albums/ss25/thestormyprincess/

Can ANYONE here help me?? I found this at a flea market and am dying to find out if it is AUTHENTIC. I contacted Coach directly, and they told me they DID make this bag/style that year. What throws me off is that the 'o' in No. on the creed looks bigger than any I've seen. The zipper works great, the bag is in great condition for its age, it looks good in every way I can see, but I have to know for SURE because I want to list it on eBay. Is this bag rare, if it's authentic? ANY and all information would be appreciated very much! THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!

You're already getting some very good opinions at Ebay's forum, and some of the same people post here. :D

That style number probably would never have been used in a bag from 1994. Also the serial # font is wrong and the spacing is wrong. The leather on the inside pocket is also screaming Fake.

Metal hangtags should NOT be flexible either. And again, having zippers that say YKK doesn't prove a darn thing.

I quoted this one because the listing has been pulled so hopefully you kind of remember this one, I know you look at TONS of these a day so, the seller refused the refund, said she thought it was real because "it had a valid serial #" so I escalated it to a claim hoping to get it over & done with. Now the auction has been pulled so I can't even leave feedback, paypal is telling me to send the bag back at my expense & they may or may not give me a full refund based on the condition of the bag when she gets it back. I'm really upset that as a buyer I get the short end of the deal, she will get her bag back, at my expense & turn around & re-sell it. I paid $23.69 or something close to that with shipping, $16.?? of it was the purse the rest in shipping so at best I may get my $16 back but still be out the shipping back to her. SO my question is, any clue what to do??!!! I'm tempted to keep the bag, throw away the nasty tag & cut the pocket out & sell it as a leather purse, maker unknown, or donate it to the thrift store (no tag/no pocket) as it is a nice leather bag, with no other marks on it anywhere that say who supposedly made it.
I'm venting & angry so thank you very much for your imput!! I know I should have asked first but with that older looking pocket in there, I really just thought it was a vintage bag. Odd that they'd put nice leather on a fake though too, someone paid a good price for a fake bag at some point!
Thanks again!

ok i really like this, im almost ready to give it up and get a piece of crap walmart bag :)

No, don't do that! Go to the outlet (even if it's a day-trip for you), and grab something NEW and unused for way less than you can buy an eBay bag. Really. You can get leather Zoes for under $100. You'll find something you love, don't give up!:D

Okay, I am dying to know the boo-boo:confused1:. That creed looks perfect so I know I'm missing something. Can you PM me if you have to the time to let me know the answer? Thanks!

Style #13252 is not a leather bag. It also looks like the word SUPERIOR is misspelled as "SURERIOR."

Ooh, posts like this get me so angry! Sellers like that get to me. It doesn't matter that she thought it was real. Clearly it wasn't and as a seller, it was her responsibility to have it authenticated before she listed.

And it's really too bad you can't neg her now that the listing has poofed.

In this case though, if I were you, I'd return it and let the seller know that you will be watching to make sure she doesn't relist it. If you keep it, the seller profits by getting to keep your payment and even though she's a scammer, she'd be the "winner" in this instance.

If you return it, you should get a full refund of your initial purchase price plus shipping. Only return shipping (with mandatory delivery confirmation) should be your out-of-pocket expense. I'm not sure I've ever heard of Paypal deducting a portion of a refund based on "condition" when a counterfeit item is involved.

Please post a link to the seller's items (or feedback page) so we can watch to make sure she doesn't have more fakes.

I'm sorry you got a carpy seller who, even after getting caught, isn't doing the honorable thing.

EUC = excellent used condition

F3S means it was made in June, 2003.
